First! Could be used as a Donphan substitute, with it's free retreat cost and :grass: 60 damage attack, you could have two or more in play by your second turn and switch them back and forth to deal a nice amount of damage. I don't think it would fare to well against a Reshiram variant, but still a very nice card.

Modified: 7.5

I guess if you want to use a victini deck, then this might be a good 1-1 tech. Why? because victini works great with escavlier, and mystic evolution would be a nice attack to take advantage off. Anyways, It does to little dmg to be considered in this metagame so 3/10

I actually quite like this card, blame PTCGO! 1 energy 60 or possible discard with free retreat is all just good stuff. He's hard to fit in a format of OHKO's, but his basic has a strange built in ascension which can help him get out faster than some stage 1s and he goes fromt here!

Modified: 6.5/10
Limited: 10/10
Unlimited: 1/10

If we ever get a metagame deck that has Grass Weakness, this will be a good card.

Until then . . . eh.

5.5/10

Would have been even cooler if It had a U-Turn-like attack instead of Acid Spray.

As-is, it's still nice for begging, so 7

Sounds like a fun attack.

Leaves a nice punch. Team it up with Serperior and Ability Serperior and you can really annoy your opponent.

Turn 1: Hit with Slashing Strike
Your opponent hits you with 30-80 damage depending on what's played
Ability Serperior heals 10
Turn 2: Retreat with non-ability Serperior. Smack it with Leaf Tornado and remove two more damage counters from Accelgor.
Heal 10 from ability
Opponent has hit Serperior but hopefully isn't using an attack powerful enough for a KO.
Heal 10
Turn 3: Accelgor should have lost 40-50 damage counters by now. You can do it all over again as you please, well till you win or lose them that is. :p

I'm not sure if this will win tournaments since it will need two Stage 2's... but it's a fun idea to try on your friends.

Playing catchup, yesterday's CotD was Accelgor from NV...well it can be fun in ways, but it doesn't have much of a place in today's environment. Statwise 90 HP is average for a Stage 1, x2 Weakness to :fire: is bleh, no Resistance is common, and no Retreat Cost is great. Acid Spray does an average 20 for :colorless:, with an added 50/50 chance to discard an Energy off the Defending. Slashing Strike is his main selling point though; :grass: for 60 is great, but with the restriction of not being able to use it during your next turn. So in a way, you can play it as a pseudo hit-and-run style, swapping out one Accelgor for another (due to the free Retreat) and still dealing an easy 60. Still, the low HP ultimately limits him, as 90 is too weak to be a main attacker, not to mention the lack of hitting anything notable (as half the :water: out there are weak to :lightning: instead) and the bad Weakness.

Modified - 3/10 (Maybe a fun deck to mess with somewhere, but in competitive play Accelgor is weak)
Limited - 9/10 (Great card, 60 for :grass: is no laughing matter, and the free Retreat helps)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here, easy prize)
