This card's attack is no good. I can't think why anyone would use it much. The best thing about this card is its ability. It lets you attach extra :lightning: energy to whoever is on the bench. That could be helpful sometimes, such as with a quickly set up (2 turns) Zekrom or in the future Zekrom EX. It could also work with hydreigon a little. Its HP is not that great, but it can still take a hit or two if need be. Weakness shouldn't be much of a problem, hopefully this guy won't be agaist fighting type if he's active. If, for some reason, you do get it out active, he won't be going anywhere fast without DCE because of his not-that-great retreat cost. I personally don't see this card being anything spectacular, so i give it

5/10

Many decks can't win without it. So for that reason alone if your deck needs it then its a perfect 10. If your deck does not need it then its a perfect 10 for your opponent. so all around its still a 10. Yeah I know it has two retreat costs and the only thing better would be free retreat but then it would be broken. If you want that try Floatzel. That is all.

a very intresting stage 1, Eelektrik has me intrigued. with 90 hp, it has a good amount for a stage 1, but the real dish of this card is it's ability Dynamotor, which lets you get back electric energies from the dicard pile. this could combo well, with a few cards, like Zekrom, BW Pikachu, and the NV version of Zebstrika for coin whiffs.

but not all is peachy. it's sole attack doing 50 damage for no drawbacks is ok, but the 3 energy cost stings. also it's retreat cost of 2 energy is prettybad, so best option is to spam it's ability from the bench. and one minor pet peeve: in the videogame, what made the Elektross family so neat was that they had no weakness-not the case here. Sableye and Spiritomb were able to retain that, so why not here?

pros:
-great ability, which works well with other electros
-hp is good

cons:
-high energy attack, little damage
-retreat cost should be lower
-why does it have a weakness?

final score: 6/10-just like VS Victini, this guy should be used more for the Ability part of the card than the Pokemon part. until you evolve it, anyway.

Lol, the most over used card in cities and people rate it low because it has a bad attack...just lol.

The format revolves around around energy acceleration and this is the best one we have. Possibly BCIF right now. Of course, its not perfect, so I give it a 9/10, mostly just because no card deserves a 10/10.

It's always funny when the stage 2 evolution of a card isn't even worth playing in a deck.

Energy Accel to the bench is always nice, altho 2 retreet can get you in trouble with catcher in the format. 7.5/10

Attaching to the active / an useful stage 2 would easily make this a 10/10

Today's CotD is Eelektrik from NV, a pretty useful little eel. Statwise 90 HP is average for a Stage 1, x2 Weakness to :fighting: is meh, no Resistance is common, and :colorless::colorless: to Retreat is a bit pricey. Dynamotor is a great Ability, and the main reason to use Eelektrik; being able to attach a :lightning: Energy card from your discard onto one of your Benched Pokemon may not seem like much, but it's actually very potent in powering up cards like Zekrom, Hydreigon, and upcoming ones like Mewtwo EX and Zekrom EX. Electric Ball isn't very good at :lightning::lightning::colorless: for 50, but obviously it's not the reason for running Eelektrik...

Modified - 8/10 (Great in a variety of decks)
Limited - 8/10 (In an all :lightning: deck, could be fun powering up your Pokemon sooner)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Not much use here, the Ability isn't anything special and the attack and HP just leave him open to easy KOs)

i love this card so much. I have built both haxorus/eelektrik, and my favorite, zekrom/eelektrik because I love this card. So much versatility. 9/10
