2012 Texas State Championship ~ March 17th

As far as new players to the league goes, what are the restrictions? I have not been to any organized events prior to this but would like to play.

The parking garage will likely fill up, but there are plenty of surface parking lots. Costs vary.

Can you give us an idea of how much parking is available? How many spaces? I would assume since registration is pretty early, we wouldn't be competing with anything else in the library so the parking lot should be somewhat empty that early in the morning?
 
hold on is this the same place we have held some BRs at, cause I swear one year This was the location of BR when I was in Dallas for A-Kon.

Or am I wrong? @_@
 
Those of you that are calling for rooms for the "Texas State Championships", I have called the Hyatt House. I have been told to call back on Monday morning and speak with the sales department. I will post on Monday if there are more rooms available.

I have spoken with the "Hyatt House Uptown". They extended the room rate until March 9th at the $95.00 room rate. So, you will need to book your rooms by this Friday, March 9th. You may use the link provided in the first post or call the hotel. :thumb::thumb::thumb:

More info on the venue

Parking:
There will be about 125 spaces available in the parking garage. The Library's parking garage will open for players at 7:30am. For the event, you will receive a special event rate of $1.50. Bring your ticket into the event for validation to receive the event rate. If you leave for lunch, you may lose your spot.

Parking lots are available on Ervay across from the library. Also at Wood and Ervay and St. Paul and Wood. Rate vary from $1.50 to $3.00.

Arrival before library opening:
Registration begins before the library opens. When you arrive either in the parking garage or at street level, just let security know that you at the library for the Pokemon Tournament. You will be allowed access. The entrance on Wood Street will be closed.

About the library:
Just a few things to make sure everyone is acquainted with the venue:
  • L2 is parking garage
  • L1 is for staff only. No players should be on this floor.
  • 2nd floor is for children 12 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Restrooms will be available in the play area.
