While I do believe Evolution decks might struggle in this new format, they did bring us Training Center, a ton of potentially good evolutions like Poliwrath, Blaziken, Magmotar/Electavire, Drapion (okay I might be the only one here who thinks this card has some potential), Tyrantrum, and some new anti-EX cards like Fighting Stadium and Hawlucha.

I don't think there trying to be that harsh on evos.

I don't think any of those cards are good enough honestly. Training Center is so easily countered with another stadium and doesn't help our poor weak basics survive the initial couple of turns.

Evolution decks that go second still can't evolve without taking a crazy hit

You have to pray you survive set up, then you'll have a chance through prize trade.

Yes this is very true, but I was just saying that it doesn't seem like they are TRYING to make evolutions bad, which I could be very wrong on that one, still XD.

This is why I would've preferred PLS-on. Sure we lose Skyla, but then we have Landy hitting for 90-30 T1 for a single Energy. I guess Lucario-EX would've replaced Landorus anyway if it was rotated out, though.

I would have much preferred XY-on but if they wanted to keep the plasma sets, it should have been PLS-on with a ban on Legendary Collection since a lot of problem cards are in that set.

As for evolution pokemon, they all would have been much better if they had more HP. Anything short of 180 HP is bad. I think they should be about 220+ HP which would be a good trade since they require 3 cards to get into play.
