Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

2nd Annual Fan Fiction Contest

All participants in the contest need to PM me with their votes for both best and worst entry. Anyone else can vote, but it isn't mandatory for anyone else.

Rules for voting:

You must include a reason for your vote.
(It also, obviously, needs to be a good reason, not just "I don't like this guy's grammar" or "Pikachu sucks, only noobs write about Pikachu" or "You included Bill, he's my favoritest character!") If you honestly can't read someone's fic, that's an acceptable reason, but don't vote them for worst because of a few mistakes. Also, just because you like/dislike a specific character, doesn't make the story good/bad.

You must vote for BOTH best AND worst entry.

Send your votes in a PM to me, with reasons for both. The subject should include your screen name and the round number. (example: Contest votes, round 1, Lucario EX)

The deadline for voting is 11:59 pm (EST) March 24th.

If your computer breaks, there's a massive power outage, you're really lazy, etc, lucky you. Everyone gets one pass on voting, just like writing. So, you can not get around to it for any reason, once, and get off scot-free. After that, though, anyone still competing who doesn't vote will get one point subtracted from their score, for that round only.

At the end of the round, I'll send PMs to everyone with their score and the reasons given for those votes. So, by explaining in detail what you thought was good or bad about a fanfic, you'll be helping the author improve.

Some examples of good reasons:

The characterization was very accurate/inaccurate.
The idea was interesting and creative/dull and unimaginative.
The round requirement was used in a creative/overly easy way.

My apologies for the delay.

Everyone who submitted an entry should have received a PM from me with a varying number of anonymous comments on their story. If you did not get this PM, let me know.

The winner of the round is NotSoGallantGallade, author of Entry 1.

NotSoGallantGallade will be immune to elimination from the competition in the next round.

Pikamaster, author of Entry 3: Frostbite, finished last.

However, he is not eliminated from the competition, as disqualifications for inactivity take priority.
Kezzup and pokemonrocks777 are eliminated, since they did not send in an entry for either round.

The authors of each entry were:

#1: NotSoGallantGallade
#2: Amarinimo
#3: Pikamaster

Everyone Esplode Noaw, yellowfire7, TheKing, Blitzer, and Elite_4_Allen have used their writing pass.

Yeah, knew that was going to happen... I absolutely hated my entry, but I wanted to put something in, no matter how terrible. And don't forget, Luc EX, I had immunity from last round. =P It was all way too rushed, I didn't even finish it until the night before the deadline. -_-

Congrats to NSGG on winning the round! That was a hard choice, picking which story to vote for. I'll be eagerly awaiting the start of the next round; hopefully, I won't have as much difficulty setting aside time to write.

Yeah, I know. I honestly didn't see one in the field that stood out... and from what I garnered the voting was close.

But I'm proud of it, it won, and it's something off which I can improve further. (Take that, preposition who wanted to be at the end of the sentence! xD)

Also, I'll be gone for 10-11 days, April 14-25 I believe. I'm going to be across the world at that time and won't have much access obviously.

I'm really sorry for all the delays. I'm going to try to make sure that the next round is posted by Monday.

Round 3:
