Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

360 or PS3

PS3 all the way. The 360 will be more often sent to Microsoft for repairs. They have a failure rate of over 54.6% which was in issue 200 of Gameinformer. The 360 doesn't have as good of graphics IMO since it can only use DVD format while the PS3 uses Blu-Ray which holds alot more data. PS3 has free online while the 360 is a pay only service. The 360 may seem cheaper but the one $199 is WITHOUT a hard drive which will drive the cost up. More games does not mean better games. 360 only really has Halo and Gears of War, without those the 360 has nothing. You can get a slim PS3 with a 250 Gb hard drive for $349.99. Overall the PS3 is just way better in every aspect.

Personally i have to side with the 360. This is because the 360 exclusive games are far more superior than that of the PS3. The layout of the system menu is a whole lot better to look at than the PS3 as well.

Sure, PS3 gets free online play - but you get what you pay for. I would rather have seamless online play and pay a small fee for it, then get lag and play for free.

The lag is not the fault of the system nor the online service. The fault belongs to the internet provider only. That is the only reason I lag. The menu layout is not a big deal when comparing systems. The layout is so easy to figure out. Also another thing is the 360 has very little third party accessory support which means just about everything is made by microsoft which means you pay alot more.

360
online is good
the controlls are eaasier than ps3
halo is only for 360
360 has a media center and hd moives through net flix

i own 2 360s
my friends with ps3s are jelious

How are the controlls easier than the PS3 controller? The 360 controller is larger, bulkier, and has more buttons. The PS3's controller is the same one they have been using since the PS1 Analog controller. PS3 also has a media center and netflix so that does give either an edge. Why do you have 2 360s? Why'd anyone be jealous of the 360?

Be forewarned that Sony is considering making the PSN (ie, online play) pay-to-play as well. Not confirmed, but very much rumored.

They said that it will remain FREE, but they will offer a premium online service with extra features. I think I read it in Gameinformer.

PS3 is trash for online. I can barely hear other people talking and have trouble connecting to the PSN and not getting disconnected as well. I know its not my internet connection or router, just the PSN being unresponsive. If you are serious about your online gaming, you'll get the 360 as the PS3's is very gimmicky...

360 has better exclusives IMO and arguably run every multi platformer way better. Fallout 3 is a great example as is any game that has online on both systems.

I have a PS3, and it is great for netflix, you can watch movies instantly, while it is downloading. XBOX is just exploady games.

PS3 in general I have found more reliable and their customer service great. I've had one of mine break after 2 or 3 years of owning it. Didn't have insurance or anything and they replaced it in a week with a new one for free!

It also has loads built in such as bluetooth, blue ray reader etc. The blue ray reader means the disks have the ability to have 50gb of info on each one. Xbox still uses DVDs for games and so has a max of about 9gb.

When they came out, there was a big debate over HD DVDs vs. Blueray and Sony won that one, and as such most films are coming out mainly on Blueray and they're the main ones you see in shops.

Gameswise they each have some exclusives that are good. Banjo Kazooie for example on the Xbox, and Uncharted 2 on PS3 I believe is an exclusive too.

Having played on both, I must agree that the xbox live service is quicker at finding games (not actually in them, they're the same), but then the extra speed is not something I'd personally pay for as I don't have a regular income and don't want a bill. Gaming difficulty online I've found the same on each.

Physically I have found the PS3 console feels better built and alot more solid. Controllerwise I do prefer the xbox one I think though.

They've each got some good points and there'll always be debates between which one to go for but I personally find PS3 the premium console. I think the price of xbox's is great though, but then they're less well equipped.

Also I don't know what's available for Xbox, but PS3 runs laptop hardrives so don't worry about how many gb it has when looking for one, as it's £50 for a 300gb hardrive and it's very easy to replace.

People keep bringing up the point that the 360 has more games. While this may be true on a grand scale, the amount of worthwhile titles on the PS3 exceeds the 360. The PS3 has much more high-rated exclusives, and more variety within those exclusives. The 360 gives you almost nothing more than shooters when it comes to great exclusives, and little to chose from.

Also, PSN is not as bad as everyone says it is. Most people unfairly compare the PS3's wireless connection to the 360's hard wired connection. A wired connection will ALWAYS be better than a wireless one. If you bought thw WiFi attachment for the 360, I'm willing to bet you'd experience the same problems with XBox LIVE as most people do with PSN. If you're really having problems connecting to PSN, make your internet connection wired instead.

Wrong. I use a wireless adapter and Xbox Live runs so much better than the PSN it isn't even funny. It takes like 5 minutes to sign in when I have a 90% connection rate with the ps3 to the computer and when I finally do sign in, I get signed out in less than an hour. I love when that happens in uncharted 2 matches because I lose $40,000 for quitting a game-the equivalent of playing for about 2 hours give or take. It's not just me either. I have friends that experience issues who also own a 360 where they don't have those issues on the 360. It's all over the Play Station forums too.

PS3 - don't help Microsoft take over the world :D

We would have had Final Fantasy XIII the same day as Japan if it weren't for Microsoft paying out Square to make a 360 version for US only. They think they can just throw money at any industry and win.

Xbox 360 has terrible hardware compared to PS3. DVDs instead of Blu-Ray? And it's the same price? Please...

I'd say xbox 360, only if you can afford xbox live. I didnt have it for 2 years. But when I finally subscribed for a year membership, i would never get off my seat!

PSN is not the issue. I have no trouble connecting to PSN. As someone else said Wired connections are ALWAYS better than Wireless. My Laptop has speed issues with our internet while our desktop which is a wired connection has no issues. The signal strength is lower where my systems and laptop are which results in lower speed and reliability. Also Verizon internet is the worst for any online gaming. I have had issues with all of my Wi-Fi able systems connecting to Verzion and Gamestop employees have stated that they have issues with all systems connecting to Verizon.
