..LOL!
Never really wrote a tourney report before. Seeing the “thoughts to paper” process isn’t too great with me, beside my memory. Plus, how can you even compete with a report like Kettler’s! After testing thought out the season with different decks, I decide to play with good old faithful, Sallygross!
Enjoy.

Round 1: Sweet's Mom -??? 1-0
Pokemon training did well.

Round 2: Bandooom 1-1
Well, guess my Pokemon were tired from the battle before. They didn’t play well. NRG deprived and no luck. I was a little frustrated at them.

Lunch break...PIZZZZA

Round 3: T-tar Ex/Mightena EX 2-1
Setup good, we trade KO’s. On my turn with prize count 2-2 after my Metagross just took 90 from a Mightenya EX. I Super Conduct to Metagross for the KO and scramble a Sally d w/one NRG for the KO on Mighteyna EX for the win. This would be the 4th time with this deck that I have been able to pull off a move like that for the win. He made a comment after the game that he thought he was going to win. I just smiled!

Round 4: George-Swampert.dec 3-1
Pokemon training did well. Regaining the trust I have within my training them. All he got was Swampert thou.

Round 5: Fish-Flygon ex d 4-1
We both setup good and trade KO’s. But in the end, my Latias Star and strength charm allow my team to win. GG.

Round 6: Kettler-Absolution 4-2
NRG deprived and all the luck to Kettler, my team had no chance to even try.

Round 7: Sweet-Sally X 3/Alteria EX 5-2
We both setup good and trade KO’s. His NRG count was godly, for 3 turns in a row he had 2 NRG in hand to attach and extra boost with a low hand count. That was making the game extremely hard. In the end, a Briney on my part deprived a game tying KO for him when time was called on his turn. GG.

After the Top 16 is posted, I go around practically yelling “It’s Top 16, It’s Top 16” ending with a quite, “I’m 16th!” It has always really been about making top at any tourney I go to, the rest is gravy.

Top 16: Rokman-Flygon ex LM 2-0/6-2
Game 1: We both setup, with some verbal miscommunications in the air with questions going to judges allot. I felt like he was burning time, so would ask for time extension. In the end it wasn’t needed. I was glad. In the end, my Latias Star and strength charm allow my team to win.

Game 2: Same as above w/o miscommunication and Latias Star taking 2 Flygons down. GG’s.

Top 8: Clay- Flygon ex d 2-0/7-2
Game 1: We both setup good and trade KO’s. But in the end, my Latias Star and strength charm allow my team to win.

Game 2: We both setup good and trade KO’s. But in the end, my Latias Star and strength charm allow my team to win. GG’s Clay, these games were very fun with casual banters back and forth, Heidi even said some funny comments. Brought back some good memories of battles before when I was part of Texas. Soon I’ll be “back to the fold” to experience many more.

Final Four: Kettler-Absolution 1-2/8-3

Game 1: I setup good. Double scramble for the KO was great, and then a Latias Star and Metagross seal the game in my favor. I think his own stump locked his damaging ability allot, I wasn’t going to bump it. He scoops.

Game 2: I setup good, but a misplay of NRG and a Vappy lock did this game in for me.
I finally see what the deck is made to do and I don’t like. No luck for me to try and recover, I scoop.

Game 3: I setup good, but to me, his setup was godly. Turn for turn, even thou not many, he had the moves for the KO (2 hits on scoop-up back to back) and the Vappy lock on turn 3 with no love for luck for me. NRG deprived and exhausted to the sheer speed of Kettlers Pokemon, I scoop. GG’s Kettler, Fast/Precise Team you have, glad for the time extensions and that we didn’t have to use much of it.

3rd/4th Play-Off: Rai-eggs 1-2/8-4
Game 1: We set-up good, a surprise shard gives him the game.
Game 2: I setup good, he has a magnamite start, and I go with Latais Star for the first attacker. My windstorms and late game Sally give me the game.
Game 3: I concede because everyone’s done playing and I only played this match because Nancy was still judging. 4th is still great in my book, and I always seem to do well in Big Texas Tourneys. Great Tourney Mike! (Even if I had to play in the Dark! LOL. ) Great seeing and talking to everyone. :thumb:

Great job, Dana! I'm not sure if we even ended up using the extension, but just 10 more minutes made life a lot easier on the both of us, I'm certain.
