9 Corners

Originally this was going to be a deck help discussion but I accidentally placed it here. So am just going to make a general deck discussion anyways. With the new EXs coming up and with ewtwo, the Bridge and the new enrgy we will be getting, do you guys think 6 crners will be able to get more play. I was thinking that the deck could survive with the adition of 3 more hitters, Mewtwo Ex, Zeckrom EX and Jirachi, with the ability to spread thanks to kryuem.

Zeckrom ex will do really crappy in this deck. Because the deck has issues with keeping energy on the board and zeckrom discards the enrgy, the deck has no energy accel so this would be really bad. A way better tech over zeckrom EX would be Shaymin EX

Mewtwo-EX will be a given in the deck post-ND (DCE-only attack? Yes please!) but I can't really see either Zekrom-EX nor Jirachi fitting the deck's strategy.
Jirachi's Power can only be used with Psychic energies - and Rainbow Energies don't have the rainbow effect in the discard! Of course, this applies to Prism Energies as well.
And then there's Zekrom-EX which, as Skaterkid stated, is counterproductive to what you want to accomplish with 6 Corners, namely keeping Energy on the board.

i think we wont see virizion/kyurem/cobalion/terrakion/zekrom/:fire: pokemon (reshiram or victini) deck, but we will still see a deck which uses 4-6 attackers to counter all decks. Mewtwo ex will be used in these decks for sure, but zekrom ex wont. (akane and skaterkid give already good reasons and we still have zekrom).
In terms of support there are some cards which can replace virizion because of the bridge (celebi prime, smeargle and probably absol prime) and groudon ex and regigigas ex (assuming they will be in ND) can also be used in these decks in my opinion

Corners is an archetype so while the techs may change, the basic idea of card advantage and bulky basics never really dies. Mewtwo EX will have a home there for sure, I can see Shaymin EX as well. The metagame for states is going to be nuts this year. I would still keep Virizion as bridge makes it better. I'm not a fan of Smeargle and most Corners lists already play Absol Prime. It's not going to be a matter of what you don't play but of what you will/want or should play.

Im thinking it would be almost exactly the same but minus Zekrom and add Mewtwo. Kyurem EX, Shaymin EX and Smeargle are all cards that could work really well in it as well.
