Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

'98 Pokemon Trainer Trophy Pikachu Cards

Haze, it doesn't look like a shill bid, why do you think that? It did not end at an outlandish price, if anything a pretty solid price for the buyer.

Its shill not doubt about that.

If it did sell it still wouldnt be listed in the duplicate auction

What has always bothered me about this particular set if you got the money, obviously the guy does, he be smart to send them into PSA since they grade cards graded by other companies. That hasnt happened and then you got the case of the urge to sell them high and fast.
It should be an obvious choice to do so as it would increase in value seeing CTA is a grading company no one knows.

Wait for it.......

Wait for it..........

Just because the BIN/MAO is still up does not mean it did not sell.

How is it shill bidding? I still don't understand how people are jumping to this conclusion. I don't know the seller (Joey) too well but that is a strong claim to make without evidence. It is something that ebay severely frowns upon so I would take it easy making the claim that it was shilled without some sort of evidence.

It showed the winning bidder having ZERO feedback. If the listing of the BIN doesn't come down in a week it just looks suspicious, it's my opinion. Also, showing that the member has only bid on this item. If the item doesn't sell with all these contributing factors, it will look like it.

I have to say, that's how I interpreted the stats too but eBay is so ambiguous... On a personal note, either way I'm disappointed. I offered that much for them ages ago, but was refused, so if they go for that much now I know its just bad luck which means I've lost my chance for these trophies :)

That was a retracted bid. A shill bid would require someone to of bid earlier to boost the price. If it was higher and then lowered because the person retracted their bid.

Also, if the buyer does not pay that is reason to keep the BIN up. People not paying is something that happens frequently. Typically the lower the feedback number the higher chance they will not pay. Notice how the retracted bidder was zero feedback, that is unfortunately common. The people commenting about shill bidding do not have much experience selling on ebay.

The high bidder did not pay and has not contacted me yet. If they do not contact me by tomorrow, I may relist them. What do you think I should do?

CTA was a company people knew...they are no longer in business. Plus the seller did not send them in (as he couldn't nowadays), the previous owner did when CTA was still around. It is still legitimately graded....although I would have them re-graded by psa.

On another note, I too would have left the BIN until the winner pays. It's just a smart thing to do.

I would give them a couple days. That is a large sum of money and it is the weekend...he/she might be out, banks might be closed. It is recommended on eBay to give a week unless you stated immediate payment required. I'd say if they don't pay by Wed. the 21st re-list.

...better yet, give them to me as a Christmas gift! :D

I would suggest giving them the week to pay that's recommended by ebay. It's only been a day.

He just contacted me...claimed his kid was bidding on them and he had no idea. :/ So looks like they are still available for sale. Should I resist or choose another method to sell them?

I would say give Dogma the offer to get them!
If your satisfied with the amount that Dogma was saying you should totally.
At least he will probably pay unlike the so claims of other non-legitimate people.
:)

Awwwwww, thanks Frosty!!!

I kinda feel obliged to tell people that the 98 Pika's haven't been snapped up (hope you guys have a lot of spare cash lying around :p).

Current offer is $10,000 with a 4 month payment plan starting after a down payment is made towards the end of January. So they aren't sold until that down payment is made.

Same question regarding the SSB cards? Thanks.

Hope its not off topic but who owns SSB cards?
I wanna know who to talk to about the ssb 1 and 3 in the future. Thanks.

There were 2 1997 pikachus printed, approx. 6 charizard mega battle prints made, and approx. 5 kamex (blastoise) mega battle prints made. In total, that is 13 of each place with all years included. The SSB Mewtwos were awarded at seven locations for one year only with one age group. 7 of each place were printed.

As for who has them (The SSB): You, myself, Scott and FrostFluxy and ebirdman. Those are the only people I know and I don't think they are changing hands soon.

Who got that other ssb 2, from ebay member japjun?

Can you link to me the charizard and blastoise?
Wait is it the actual physical gold trophy statue or are they cards themselves?
