Q Can you play pokemon rescue if you have no pokemon in your discard pile?

Q Can you fail your search with pokemon rescue if there are pokemon in your discard pile?

Q When you use regice's power regimove, does the basic pokemon have to switch?

Q can you still use regice's poke power regimove to discard cards if your opponents active pokemon is an evolved pokemon?

1. You can't play any card when it is known that it will have no effect. So no, you can't

2. No. It is public knowledge. It is not like a deck search.

3. If they have an Unevolved Pokemon as active, then of course they have to switch. If you use the Power when they have an evolved Pokemon as active, then there is no switch.

4. Yes, you can. Using a Power for no effect is not the same as playing a card for no effect.
