Meloetta can take on it's Pirouette Form if you take it to Castelia City and teach it the move Relic Song.
Meloetta's Aria form (the form it has when you receive it) is Normal/Psychic Type. After teaching Meloetta the move Relic Song, it will take on the Pirouette form and change it's type to be Normal/Fighting.

The Base Stats will change for each form, which is
Aria-
100/77/77/128/128/90
Piroette-
100/128/90/77/77/128

Meloetta has the ability Serene Grace, which doubles the chance of a move that has a side effect such as burn to be occur with a higher percent chance combined with what the move has already. Example: Iron Head has a 30% Flinch percent, with Serene Grace- 60% chance your opponant will flinch. (Toss on the hold item King's Rock to your Pokemon, and add 10% more!)

Enjoy the download while it lasts!

This is a very poor decision making on GameFreak's behalf. This event is only available in The States. What about the rest of the world? Once again, GameFreak makes a foolish decision and shows that they don't care for the any other country, other than The States. This means Canada won't be getting the event, Japan won't be, China won't be, Mexico won't be, etc etc. Thanx for not caring for any other country other than The States GameFreak. 99% of the world won't be getting this event. They encourage us to fill our Pokédex's with all 649 Pokémon. Well how are we gonna do that if you only allow 1 country to get Meloetta. Shouldn't encourage us to fill our Pokédexs with all 649 Pokémon if you're not planning on giving us an event to get a Pokémon. I fail to see the logic behind this one, GameFreak -_-

It's not that unfair actually. There are Meloetta events for Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, France, the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain going on at about the same time as this one, while Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea already had events to get it.

@ArceusRules:

I cant understand the frustration you have expressed. Japan has so many "Event" Pokemon that do not even make it to the USA from the past- it is an upset of course.
Hopefully now since X/Y will have an "all at once" release world wide, perhaps there will be more of an increase on uniting the rest of the world with Event Pokemon as it is a big step to release the new games in a unified manner verse a 6+ month wait time frame how it has been done for so long.

Where exactly in castelia do i teach it relic song?

From outside of the Pokemon Center, go left two streets over to the ally way. Go down the ally way, turn right into the first door- this is the Cafe. Talk to the guy with the guitar with Meloetta in your party, and a short mini scene will happen. You will then be asked if Meloetta wants to learn Relic Song.

I wonder when the next give away will happen, and what pokemon it'll be? I look forward to this stuff now that it happens here in Canada as well. For a while there it didn't.
