A Question about Shiny Pokemon

At this point I believe we will be rotating to NXD-on. But no matter what it is, if there is a rotation, certain cards with shiny versions will have their regular versions rotated. Max potion, for example.

If this happens, will the regular version of max potion still be legal? I know this is complete speculation, but maybe someone who's been around for a very long time would have a better idea than I do.

Well, I guess I mean more on the pokemon side, I figure the old trainers will be legal. Max potion was a bad example.

When BW rotates, will only shiny zoroark be legal? I'm pretty sure when blaziken and delcatty were reprinted later in the R/S series you couldn't use the old versions. I really hope that isn't the case here

You mean like when Power Keepers came out and everyone used their old Gardevoirs, Delcattys and such because they were still legal because they were the same cards? I remember those days.

I had heard otherwise. Thanks for clearing things up

At the risk of making things confusing, here are some exceptions, but they are the exceptions that prove the rule. You may have been recalling those. If a card has had significant text changes, especially without an errata, to my knowledge you can't use the older copies. This is comparatively rare, and also pretty obvious since the text changes will be significant - not just a change in phrasing, but a flat out different in execution and again.
