Am I doing it wrong? In playtesting this deck hasn't been very effective.

Strategy: Discard cards from your opponent's hand. Hopefully you'll nail some decent supporters for Gardevoir to telepass, to accelerate your setup. Once they KO Absol, ideally you would respond with a scrambled Gallade or Gardevoir and sweep from there.

Latilock to help the Magmortar matchup slightly, but it's a double-edged sword because they could snipe the Lati EX for two prizes. The trick is to match their pace and lock their powers and spread damage as well as you can with warp and sonic blade. Don't go for the big flip-5-prizes KO early on, because you'll get trashed in late game. Don't let them evaporate your DREs.

try this

take out:

2 Windstorm
1 Pluspower
1 Lake Boundary
1 Night Maintenance
1 Kirlia SW
2 special

put in:

1 mew
1 celio's network
2 scott
1 scramble
1 oaks visit
2 basic

good luck with the deck:thumb:

Hi Jayson.
Absolade hasn't been working for me either, so I basically took out the techs, and made the energy/trainer lines a bit more consistant, and now its ok.

4 Rare Candy
4 Celio
3 Roseanne's Research
2 Windstorm
2 Warp Point
4 Team Galactic's Mars
2 Team Galactic's Wager
2 Steven's Advice
2 Strength Charm
1 Lake Boundary
2 Night Maintenance

The reason I play 4 Celio is because I want that T2 Gardevoir as early as possible.
2 Steven's advice because sometimes 2 cards from Mars isn't enough. I've tried 1 Steven's and its worked well too.
But thats just my opinion.
No pluspower incase my opponent plays Castaway, so I can telepass for it.

My energy line looks more like this:

1 Fighting
1 Basic Dark
5 Psychic
2 Special Dark
4 Double Rainbow
2 Scramble

4 DRE I need for the acceleration. 1 Basic Dark because its roseannable. I don't play many fighting because DRE usually pays for sonic blade.
In your case, since your playing Latilock, it'd be cool if latios ex d could attack. (with 3 energy it can ohko magmortar. but risk getting koed back)
try this:
4 dre
2 scramble
5 psychic
2 multi
1 fighting
1 dark
