Browsing on Ebay I see many people who have thousands of high quality Pokemon cards listed for sale. Some people have listings in which theyve sold 4k+ of a certain auction. I was wondering how people get all the inventory to begin with? Is it about spending alot of money firs to get the inventory, and then slowly selling afterwards?
 
It is like a Pawn Shop. You need cash, they have it, but you need to be willing to take a hit.
Most Pokegym users and online retailers offer low prices, but they know people will take them up on their offer!

Last batch I sold was ~5000 unsorted commons, uncommons, RHs, holos and rares at $0.02 a piece a week or two ago. Basically they can slowly sell the inventory or they can do what some do...
Look for the good cards...

I mean I could send someone my unsorted bulk and they find some Skylas worth a few dollars each or something and that already adds up quickly :)
 
As for HOW they get them. I can't speak for others, but I but booster boxes and end up with a lot of leftovers
 
my own bulk(5000+ cards) was acquired through trading and winning tournaments while i was still playing.there are many hidden gems in there but i don't have the time to sort it out although i do plan to sell it by pieces to get max value from it.
 
Wow .02 cents a card? Lowest i've been able to find on Ebay is like 6 per card and thats just uncommon/common. I guess i need to start buying on here lol.
