aipom and the energy manipulation deck

it occured to me that aipom could be used with great sucess in an energy manipulation deck. that is, blastoise, place the energy on aipom who gets all the damage counters. then amphy to energy connect those to another pokemon. then draw a card and put the now empty aipom on the bottom of your deck.
however, I just dont see making a blastoise/amphy deck. anyone have any ideas what other cards out there might make this kind of combo happen?

use aipom with macargo but that is about it but it is just a wast of space in a deck

Blastoise EX- goes great w/Articuno EX-

Aipom goes well with many cards. Ludicolo can use it with Circular steps, and when Aipom gets too much bench damage, just tuck it away back in the deck.

I also like it with the Houndoom UF, to keep Trainers under control.

That's what I was thinking, with Houndoom. It's nice to have Pokemon like Aipom & POP2 Pidgeot to combo HD with.
