OK this isn't a joke deck, it's an expandable idea that needs testing. The theme is to abuse Alakazam*'s attacks to use ex attacks while keeping a small bench for Houndoom lock! I may consider an energy accelerator but for now it just looked fun to investigate. Alakazam *'s Psychic Select can be used for even more abuse! The best part of the deck is you can quite literally throw whatever exs you have to show off their value (plus Alakazam* of course)!

if you are going to abuse Ex attacks, use decent ones.

Thanks for the advice but do you have no sympathy? That poor cat Persian may belong to the rockets but she doesn't get into any decks :(

Tyranitar ex looks sound. Cheers. I need Blissey for energy acceleration. No-one else seems to have seen it but Blissey ex's attack when copied by Mew ex is nice. Works well with the power to get back the energy you discarded.

BTW I may drop Houndoom for better starts and consistency. Does anyone think this is the right attitude to Alakazam*?

Why not use Lanette instead of Holon's Mentor?

Means you won't end up in a situation where you're having to discard a precious, precious ex.

And chances are Mentor isn't once of the cards you'll be transceiving from the discard pile as you'll already have the basics you need out.
 
Hmm... as there;s only one Mewtwo... is it really worth discarding that extra card for?

After all, if we're going to go into what if's, what if you want them both, but you only have nice juicy exs in your hand?

Anyway, all said, this deck fascinates me.
 
You'll likely farmer them back sooner or later. I may run some Latios ex for more consistent start and Skill Copy fuel. I think Great Ball is the way to go. Farmer + Great Ball = Pwnage. Mewtwo + Energy Absorbtion rocks too. I'll probably update the list with those changes and minus the Sabldoom.

It so needs a Banette ex!
 
Just run the deck as your run-of-the-mill Mewtric with Alakazam* & friends.

You may want to consider the following pokemon for Skill Copy:
Omastar PK (Pull Down)
Altaria Ex EM (OHKOs everything in the modified format with Safeguard when used by Mew Ex)
Shiftry Ex PK (Dirge)
 
^^Thanks, great ideas. Nice to see it evolving from the "Look at how many exs I have that don't work together" deck to a strategic build.
 
i like this deck actually......
if you think about it it might actually work !!!!
but on paper or the internet it looks horrible....
but the Alakazam*+Houndoom think caught my
eye.....and thats why i even got into this thread....!!!!
i like it a lot !!!!

I'm trying to make more use out of psychic select. Maybe something random like Super scoop up/reversal to be replayed? Great ball/Elm's looks a sound setup choice.
 
I've taken to playing Dual Ball over Great Ball recently.

Yeah, you might not get anything, but it's 75:25 that you will, and there's a chance of getting two.
 
Maybe a crazy rainbow build that uses Castaway or Lickitung before the Skill Copy madness begins?

Dual ball is nice with castform, absol ex etc. Unless I wanted to give my opponent a false impression on the deck, save them for later discard or use Mewtwo then the average success of the trainer is equal.

i play a scizor ex to kill and redue damage for next turn and a why not a metagross ex PK also to help put that raieggs matchup....with that metagross ex PK it makes that game fun because they cant play there trainers...like cess, stadiums etc......

and if this WHOLE deck doesnt work out.....

then trey it with Nidoqueen...you kno discard a lot early
and queen late game for 90...that can be nasty !!!!!!!
