Just noticed...

BW, April/spring release: Spring Deerling/Sawsbuck card
EP, August/summer release: Summer Deerling/Sawsbuck card

Could we see an autmun Deerling/Sawsbuck in our BW3 in November/autumn? Winter Deerling/Sawsbuck in BW4 next February?

Kind of a waste of space unless they can interact with each other haha.

Hope so. From hunting and going to state parks, I know that a deer will calmly eat out of your hand in the spring and summer but that same deer will gore you to death in the autumn and winter. If they are following seasons, then it could wind up being a pretty decent card. Not getting my hopes up though !

Anyone notice that whirlipede has a larger retreat then scolipede?
Also, was there another ruflett released somewhere or is that an English exclusive? If so I sense a Braviary EX in the near future (they wud have put the normal one in)......................................

Oh and Tagrineth Chandelure came out in RC a couple of weeks ago in Japan....actually, no RC cards surprise since we are getting PD/HB/Promos...perhaps we are getting one big EX set and they don't want to clutter it with EXtra (haha) stuff or maybe the US doesn't have the rights to the cards yet (if it works that way).

Honestly it looks like Pokemon is trying to go back to the old days. While the HP of the Pokemon are going up, most of them don't really do that much damage and it looks like they're trying to slow the game down. Combo that with Juniper (prof Oak), Cheren (Bill), and Catcher (Gust of Wind), plus the fact that most of these attacks are much simpler and it looks like we will see a much slower and old-timey format following the next rotation.

It's too bad not many of the cards are that good this time, but I do love the artwork. In any case I only see anything in this set doing well when Victini is release, and only if it catches on.

Klinklang tanking?
4-3-4 Klinklang
Get out one of the accelerators and energy switchers, and start attacking with the 150 HP one. Max Potions and Switches will keep you alive.
With fire popular as it is it has some issues, but its a deck to keep in the back of your mind.

The set is definitely underwhelming at first glance, but I'm sure something will come out of it. Cards aren't useless simply because they aren't hyped.

I like that recycle was reprinted. Crushing Hammer should be good as is Catcher, but I'd rather get as singles. Bianca as Birch won't compare with Juniper.
