This is where I'll be posting all my cities results.

For our first cities of the year, some friends and I went down to Jenks, OK. We get there, and it's swarmed by Gyarados. On to the report. I'm playing Gyarados.

Round 1 vs. Matt w/ Gyarados

We both have pretty good starts, but I play ditto, and swung at his gyarados with 4 karps in the discard leaving it with 10 hp left. Ge used his SSU to save it, but kept it in hand since there wasn't a bts out, ad I judged him into crap. He never gets out another gyarados.
1-0

Round 2 vs. Michael w/ Kingdra/Gengar

To start it off, he is an incredible player, probably one of the nicest guys around. I have an amazing hand, but my prizes were bad enough to make a young child cry. I had all my collectors prized...I ended up getting a fully charged gyarados out, but heads for fainting spell on a belted gyarados sealed my fate. GG brother. GG

1-1

Round 2 vs. Dave w/ Gyarados

He had a quicker set up than I did, and got ahead in the prize exhange. I almost staged an awesome comeback, but dialga doesn't afraid of a little pink blob...

1-2

Round 4 vs. John w/ Bellplume

I had 2 Karps and an Azelf prized. I didn't care, so i went aggro with gyarados swing for a massive 30 dmg a turn, an it ended up with him having an active shaymin with a benches Oddish. I regi moved and seekered with a flash bite for the game.

2-2

Round 5 vs. Ray w/ Gengar C

He has me trainer locked, and I couldn't draw into crap. I ended up going aggro with sableye taking 2 prizes, but I lost.

2-3

Finished off 2-3, and it was the first time I've played gyarados, so I'm not too upset about it. I'll be at Tulsa tomorrow, so I'll Get that up tomorrow.

So, we spent the night at Logan's since he was giving us a ride in the morning. Logan's friend Taylor came with us, but he didn't have a deck. I quickly threw together a Steelix deck for him, but then Robbie got a call that he had to go teach a Sunday school class, so I grabbed his Gyarados deck and gave it to Taylor. We then proceeded to teach him some matchups that he needed to know. In my list, I took out Mesprit and both of my Seekers cause they are terrible. Now, on to the day of fun.

Round 1 vs. Nathan w/ Luxchomp
He is one of the guys to come down from Missouri. I only knew him cause he normally goes to Bentonville for tournaments. Anyways, I had a solid T2 with Gyarados swinging for 90, an I pulled ahead in the prize exchange.
1-0

Round 2 vs. ??? W/ vilegar

We both get solid setups, and we are pretty even. I end up gett 2 kos without him getting one. Time is called on my turn while I had 1 card left in my deck. He goes, takes a prize on gyarados, I go and Exocet gyarados, he can't ko gyarados, and I pull off the win.

Round 3 vs. Michael w/ Kingdra/Gengar

Awesome. I love playing against Michael because he is just such a fun guy. We set up, and I have an awful hand. I can't get anything set up, and he wins no problem. We will meet in top cut later though.
2-1

Inbetween rounds, they announce that we are only going to have 4 rounds with a top 8 instead of 5 rounds with a top 4.

Round 4 vs. One of Michaels friends w/ Uxie Donk

He goes first and I start with an active dialga with a benches karp. He passes, and I throw an expert belt onto Dialga for more tankage. He knocks out my benched Karp, but doesn't do much to my Dialga. I level up, throw the rest of my karps away, and warp out dialga to sweep.
3-1

I make top 8 at 8th seed I think.

Top 8 vs. Michael w/ Kingdra/Gengar

Rematch #4!

Game 1: We both have amazing setups, and he starts to pull ahead in prizes, but I keep my bench clear of powers, and dump my hand with junk arm. It comes to me having 3 prizes to his 1, and I ko a Gengar, and he flips tails. He can't get anymore energy out, and I take my last prizes. Definitely the best/funnest game of the day.

Game 2: he starts with 2 unown r, and I get out Gyarados with 2 karps discarded, and he doesnt draw into another pokemon.

4-1

Top 4 vs ??? W/ Uxie Donk

Game 1: he donks me

Game 2: I get out Gyarados, and sweep him.

Game 3: This game was the biggest fail EVER. I go to judge his hand T1. Turns out he had nothing to work with in his hand, and I probably could have won if I wouldn't have had judged him. He gets the donk on my lone Sableye.

So, I ended up at 4-2. I got an Electrode Prime out of my packs, and just had an awesome time.

Props:
Michael for being the best opponent ever.
Old Man and Jeremy for running the tournament
Everyone that was there for being awesome
Austin handing out the packs he had won the day before to the seniors and juniors as Christmas presents

Slops:
Austin breaking his perfect cities streak by getting donked twice.
4 rounds with a top 8
Mcdonalds being gross and bad for you

That is it for now. I'm having ACL reconstruction surgery on the 23rd, so idk what all I'll be doing after that. I'll probably hit up Bentonville cities on Jan 8th though,so see everyone there!

I am hoping for tomorrow you play the other deck we talked about. Gyarados is countered heavily in this meta and your other deck is much more viable in my opinion.
And I will definitely NOT be playing Scizor tomorrow, I hate going 1-4...

Good Job Today.

lol 4rounds top 8?
Wut?
How many people were there?

It made a bunch of people mad that it ended up like that, but the shop that we were in put us on a time limit cause us to make changed to our plans. There were I think 25-30 masters there.

Great showing in Tulsa! The edits you made were solid, and it definitely showed!

Congrats on Top 4 ;)

@ Kev: LOL @ you getting ditto and almost pitch darking me, man I'm glad that didn't happen, but it would have been pretty funny, no lie! Great job at making a strong comeback bro and maybe we can get a rematch in B-Ville!
@ Mr. SmileyPants: Maybe we will get a match in B-Ville
