Another Captivating Poke Puff Question

My opponent plays Captivating Poke Puff on the first turn of the game and finds 2 zubat in my hand. They get placed on the bench. Will I be able to evolve once my turn starts as they have been in play for a turn?

Yes, but it's not "in play for a turn".
It is "in play since the beginning of the turn".
No difference in this case, but just clarifying because there are some situations where it does make a difference.

Additional note: It wasn't clear, but if it is also your first turn of the game (you didn't mention if the opponent went first or second), then you still can't evolve on your first turn of the game.
After all, all of your other Pokemon were also in play for the "last turn", your opponent's first turn.
