Any word back on lowering # of players?

I was wondering if anyone heard back from Jimmer regarding the lowering of attendee's to allow sanctioned play for 6 players or possibly 4 players? I know that there was talk about it awhile ago. I understand it is still at 8 and I run a league in a small town where our attendance is between 6-12 on a weekly basis. I know I can always get six, but sometimes not 8.
