Maybe we could ask a mod to merge both articles, I don't think that Nidoking should be an archetype (sorry Roderic) But it has not proven much...
 
^I would like to keep my QueenHatter different from your Queendom if possible because the lists aren't that similar anymore.

Are you interested in putting yours up too? People have raised some valid points. It may not need to go on the front page, but if you want to fix it up to where it COULD go on the front page I could move it to the A&SS.

I'm sure you know what I mean by fixing it up slightly. You'd need to attempt to submit it so you can put images in, and then make it look more like the other articles (like Mario for example) and I could put it up.

It's up to you, really. As for article merging- I'm personally not for it. I know it saves space and makes things neater and easier to access, but I feel that different lists and strategies will need different responses, and using one thread for all of the discussion will lead to confusion.

Yeah you beat me on this one, LOL :lol: I vote for MadHatter's article being on the Archetypes, move mine back to the front page :thumb:

Is that a joke? Empoleon Blissy??? I guess Blissy really CAN go with anything. :lol: All the more reason why it would be hard to put in the Archtype forum.

The Empoleon varients I have seen have mostly bin Empoleon Lucario.
I would be glad to write up an article on it if someone else would help with the other varients, that I have less experience with.

Oh, will Hurricane be moved to the Archtyps once it's off the front page?
 
Must members who want to write an archetype thread have done well with said deck? If not, you will get any random person writing articles wanting them to be in the archetypes section.

My opinion is the deck list needs to have made Top8.

A well-written article is a well-written article. I'm not here to discriminate someone for not having placed at an event. If the matchups, list, etc. are all legit then it doesn't matter if the person did well with it.

Bolt didn't win anything with the deck he wrote an article with, but it was perfectly fine.
 
Zach: I will update my Magmortar article with Claydol/Togekiss etc when GE comes out. However for now, my Magmortar article have been updated with more power and consistency. Good luck netdeckers.
 
Just curious, but has the archetype section been purposely left to die? I understand that it was the cause of many a net deck, but for many it was also a simple condensed place to find the best decks and what they could or could not do. I understand that last season had more Tier 1 archetypes to choose from, but this season still has plenty of decks that could be considered archetypes. It would also probably be a little easier to manage if you blocked the archetype section off by season and locked a deck once it rotates out. That way you could also create a kind of format history for each season to show which decks dominated at which point in the season and how they fell out of power when a new set and more ideas arise. While I don't fully understand how things are done behind the scenes at the PokeGym, I see no reason why something on the front page cannot also be in the archetype section. I am also under the impression that in order to get into the archetype section the article has to be on the front page at some point. This seems a rather unproductive and unnecessarily slow process for a format that can change dramatically every 2-4 months. Simply put, if there is an archetype section on the 'Gym, why not make use of it?
 
^My Magmortar article was never on the front page and it made it to the Archetype section. It came straight from the Deck Help and Strategy forum.
 
i would love to see the Archetype section updated.
things like Gallade/Gardevoir, Blissey, Banette, DuskQueen, Skittles, among others should be moved there.
i mean Krickitune is there, but not any Gallade/Gardevoir articles? what is that all about!?
heck, we've got some great articles in the deck help and strategy that would love to be moved there.
the latter three of the decks i listed have fantastic articles written for them by MadHatter.
all of those decks listed above have proven themselves to be Archetype material, so why arent they being put there?
is the Archetype section just going to waste, like Darkwalker said?

I'm sorry that I've been a little busy. I'm virtually the only moderator for this forum, and I've been doing midterms, job hunting, states/regionals, girlfriend, and now am finishing up finals.

If you guys want to help me out, post links to the threads here for any archetypes. Keep in mind that if they're on the front page of site they won't be moved yet. We want maximum exposure for our writer's articles.

PMing me will work too.
