Scroll down a bit and you'll find a scan for "Mewtwo EX"

Mewtwo EX - Psychic - HP170
Basic Pokemon

[C][C] X-Ball: 20x damage. Does 20 damage for each Energy attached to both Active Pokemon.
[P][P][C] Psycho Drive: 120 damage. Discard an Energy attached to this Pokemon.

Pokemon EX Rule: When Pokemon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Weakness: Psychic (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

Sure If your opponent knocks it out they get two prizes but that hardly seems powerful enough to combat how over powered this card is.

Throw in some Defender Eviolite and Serperior and you have an impossible to kill DCE abusable basic pokemon. How is this card not going to break the format?

Considering we don't know what the format will be like 3 sets from now.....

Well Yanmega isn't really effected by it too much. Considering it does 40 for a dce because it says energy card not energy. But it will take yanmega a few turns to ko this thing.

Because pravtically every card that has ever been pre-hyped and/or overhyped on the Gym has never lived up to expectations.

It's also worth noting we'll be getting a Gardevoir or Gallade EX from this set, so a viable counter may be built right in.

Wait, you're talking about 120 damage on a Mewtwo Level X, when we still have the other legends around..?

I'm not boarding this hype train.

This may surprise you but I'm not impressed with this card. Infact I think that it wouldn't be that hard to beat it.

You can just trade prizes against it by using a Weezing with DCE, 180 damage, you get 2 prizes and lose 1... sounds fair enough.

Or see off a cinccino with mew, is not that hard to counter after all, even zoroark beats it.

So this was the reason great ball changed it`s text... again they could just print master ball and leave GB out of format.

Mewtwo EX = Regigigas X with an Expert Belt. It's not a big deal and will probably be trumped by better EXs.

I agree with most everyone here. :thumb:

I think many, MANY people have already suggested viable solutions to counter Mewtwo EX, the card is far, FAR from unstoppable.

Mewtwo with two energy = 2
Mewtwo with two energy = 2
2+2 = 4
4x20 = 80
80 x 2 for weakness = 160
Add in a pluspower and suddenly the best counter for a mewtwo is well... mewtwo. xD

Its HP's are annoying but it has no viable set up card like Reshiram, Zekrom, or even Kyurem does. Once one dies, it becomes mince meat to everything else because it has no acceleration at all.

If its second attack was PCC and not PPC, it would be more viable, but its not.
