What a Day!!
We started the Tournament on time at high Noon.....with the largest turnout for Arizona 60 players.

6 rounds with cut to top 8 in the 15+, 11-14 and cut to top 2 in the 10 and under.

At the end of the 6 rounds we did have a tie in the 15+ (for two of the top 8 spots) we ran a playoff for those spots which lengthened the tournament for this age group, Thanks to everyone for being so patient. We finally got done alittle after 8pm.

Congratulations to everyone .......There were so many great matches once again (and by the looks of the list of winners below, it was the GIRLS who swept up the trophies in EVERY age group! )CONGRATULATIONS

WOOOOOOOO! GIRL POWER! XD

What a great tourney. Props go out to spookees and Lugia's Realm for running the thing, and to Gamer's Edge for hosting (and for not evicting us to the courtyard when the final rounds ran long). Major props to Bin for giving me one of the most intense matches I've ever played. You had the entire 15+ age group quaking in the days leading up to the tourney, and you definitely lived up to your reputation.

The top decks in the 15+ age group were Dragtrode w/ Pidgeot (Drageotrode?) and Rock-Lock, but going into the finals we had everything from Zapdos to Gardevoir to Monarchy. I think the top 2 decks in 11-14 were Ampharos and Salamence--unfortunately, I didn't get to watch that match, but I hear it was a good one. Ditto the 10- finals.

Congrats to everyone who played, and hope to see you all at Regionals in a couple of months!

I let you down chuck-o. Just got 4th place with my GOD-AWFUL tyranitar list =P Not bad for only owning like 6 playable cards before the day started though.

props to ryah r. for the big W and beating out bin. What was sooo wierd though was that tie for top 8 i have never seen a tie before espically when theres "tie breakers" and all the % stuff seems impossible but w/e.

TILTreturns....in response to 'wierd' well yes it was and nothing is impossible as i have seen many times in different states that 'tie breakers' were even tied which is what happened.
We have always felt when this happens that a playoff is the only fair way to do it. :thumb:
Everyone was pretty kewl about waiting on these playoffs, We appreciate that and Thank you.

It was a great day!

yeah whats up with that!!! lol j/k, your just in a slump. pick up on this now ok.
Are you guys sure those are correct???
I know the OLD MAN must be in there somewhere. Was figuring somewhere between 3rd and 7th so I think you better update that list. We all know that it isn't a game without the "GAME"!!!
Me and BlazaRay are just about ready to Rock your World. Will be like nothing you've ever seen before. Bin and Ryah, stand bye. Ken, Wes, Bradford, and yes even you Timm better bring it.
Damon, as a fellow senior citizen this is tough but I would have no problem in bowing to you should it come to that.
Matt, always a toss up. Just depends on what you show up with. Now that I have given props and slops I OWN YOU ALL!!!

Well from what I've seen out of some of Team Heat lately I won't have to bring much, except maybe a lunch. I'll have plenty of time between rounds after I mop the floor with all those tech decks your all playing.
As far as throwing down the Gauntlet, no need. The ground work has been laid all thats left is to carry out the pain. Old Timers Rock....

AHEMMMMM Exuse me Timm ...but if you ran the ranks and include ALL the age groups ...you will be a bit surprised at what you find...(some of those under 15 have moved up nicely and are in the TOP 10 )

oh and John...I am still working with the tournament guru's to see about those 2 events that are not in there yet. (will keep you posted!)

Also to TEAM HEAT.....we are working on ROAD and/or AIR Trips for the upcoming weekends
