Tell me how is this card..
good, bad, average?
i say above average, because it has rather high Hp and damage but the dual weaknesses really hurt Armaldo!!!!

3 energy's for a 100 damage (with resistance) is pretty good, and being able to kill grass weak pokes is fun.

yeah it takes OHKO's everything in rocklock and basically all weak to fighting and grass cards. Definately a strong card and could turn out to be the next archetype.

OHKO Tyranitar ex, Steelix Ex, Meganium Ex, R Sneasel Ex and Queen
nealy OHKO Typh Ex and Walrein ex

In Combo with Mew Ex >> Problems too for any Psy-Decks, Medicham, Lugia Ex.

Greetz

Deoxys (G)

it has possibility in that it is fighting and grass type.. but u MUST run holon trode with it. if they drop a steel pokemon, that bonus 30 just went away... bounce that react energy back into your hand and ur set, 100 damage until you need that grass type again.
if ur grass and fighting, agaisnt a steelix EX fully tanked, 4 metals, he reduces by 70 damage, bounce that energy back up, he reduces by only 40, and you 1hKO him. pretty slick imo.

I really like the card, though I haven't been able to get any in packs or trades (I can't complain too much with my trio of Arcanine EXs though :) ). 70 or 100 for 3 is wicked, even though I'm not a fan of needing Claw Fossils or Strange Cave. Once I get a few maybe then I will focus more on some deck ideas.

Strange Cave is a must with this card. One, to get setup faster, and , also as a DR counter. I have Armaldo and want to run a deck with it, but what other pokemon would help support it? I thought about Kabutops, but other than being another Pokemon that can abuse Strange Cave, it doesn't fit that well.

^ I've been trying to figure that one out as well. So far I've come up with very little, but IMHO I think that Armaldo is so broken it isn't necessary to have support. It still should, but I think that maybe just with a search like Pidgeot.

There are so many Stadiums that would work well with Armaldo - Strange Cave, Island Cave, Battle Frontier, Magnetic Storm... what kind of Stadium lineup do people think would be good for armaldo? I'm thinking 2 Strange Cave, 2 Magnetic Storm, 1 Island Cave, and then LunaSol instead of Battle Frontier - but then it's no search... and maybe 5 stadiums is slightly too excessive?

4 Strange Cave
1 Magnetic Storm

Assuming you're running it with Pidgeot, the 5th Gym helps both as a Fighting resistance counter and counter Gym. It should be more effective than running a Shard. Strange Cave is a must with Armaldo, relying on finding Fossils can cause very slow starts.

magnetic storm lets him get past grass resistance AS WELL if he has a react on him. it says ignore resistance by pokemon of those type, and army EX is one of thsoe mentioned types.

I was actually thinking of a possible Armaldo/Cradily combo. Cradily does the devolving of any potential threats then Armaldo EX does the KOing. I'm just not sure if it would be fast enough..and what about some decent basics...

Thinking out loud here.

I think that as far as stadiums go, I'd say only 2 Strange Cave but 3 Magnetic Storm. Strange Cave is only REALLY useful early game, as Anorith can search out all of your fossil evo's. But Scott is necessary IMO in an Armaldo deck.

But as far as Cradily and Armaldo go, I doubt theres much chance of that happening. Cradily doesn't really help Armaldo in any way. I've been thinking about either a 2-1-1 Armaldo in Cham, or a 1-1 Cham in Armaldo. BSL>>Cham, but Armaldo>>>>>BSL. And Armaldo is a good sweeper as well for Cham. And Cham in Armaldo provides something that isn't weak to grass in case you're up against Dustox or Safeguards. Speaking of that, perhaps something Psychic in Armaldo to help against Dustox, or just to provide another type.

Armaldo > Blastoise? You sure? Well let's check.....

Nope. Blastoise laughs at Armaldo and Lugia didn't even notice that he just killed your little dinosaur thingy.

And Armaldo doesn't help v. Safeguard. :frown: Safeguard stops ex damage, Armaldo is officially known as "Armaldo ex" so, yeah, Armaldo is classified as an ex and therefore cannot hurt any Safeguard Pokemon.

The good thing about a Kabutops/Omaster deck is Corsola, who can get any of them with it's attack... Cradily and Armaldo don't have that kind of synergy.

Blastoise beats Armaldo so easily, its not even funny. They're too slow to recover from the Lugia OHKOs.
