My newest deck. I started out to make an Electric deck, and ended up with this. LMK what you think!
Pokemon (16):
2 Chansey (Base) [Cleaner.]
1 Cleffa (Genesis) [Hand changing.]
3 Electabuzz (Base) [Quick hitter.]
2 Elekid (Genesis) [Attack without Energy.]
2 Natu (Skyridge) [Energy removal, evolve to Xatu.]
2 Scyther (Jungle) [Anti-Baby, especially anti-Tyrogue.]
2 Tyrogue (Discovery) [The Smash Punching fiend!]
2 Xatu (Skyridge) [Similar to Scyther, discard rescue.]
Trainers (30):
2 Bill [Oracle combo, card drawing.]
2 Energy Charge [Discard rescue -- Special Energy.]
3 Energy Removal [Energy Removal. 'Nuff said.]
2 Focus Band [The old "banded Baby" defense.]
3 Gold Berry [Healing.]
2 Gust of Wind [Choose their Active.]
3 Lass [Trainer denial.]
3 Nightly Garbage Run [Discard rescue.]
2 Oracle [Deck searching.]
2 Professor Oak [Card drawing.]
3 Sabrina's Gaze [Hand changing, hand disruption.]
2 Switch [Choose my Active.]
1 Town Volunteers [Discard rescue.]
Energy (14):
4 Double Colorless Energy [Chansey, Scyther, and Xatu.]
3 Grass Energy [Scyther, miscellaneous.]
7 Lightning Energy [Electabuzz, miscellaneous.]
Strategy: The only "big hitter," per se, in this deck is Chansey. However, my main hitters are Electabuzz, Tyrogue, and (sorta) Xatu. Each can do 30 damage (and in 'Buzz's case, up to 40) for a fairly cheap cost that I can pay by turn 2. Scyther can use Swords Dance to do 60 (goodbye, Sneasel), and Xatu has a Recycle built into its attack (coin flip to topdeck a card from the discard pile). All can OHKO a Baby, with only a flip for the Baby Rule. Backup strategies are Elekid and Tyrogue for early damage, Natu for Energy removal, and Chansey as cleaner. Other than Electabuzz (2), Retreat Costs max out at 1, making switching Pokemon fairly painless.
I know a lot of the "classic" Trainers for Unlimited (like SER, Computer Search, and Item Finder) are missing, but I only had 1 of each available, so I went with other cards with similar, if differently powered, effects.
