So, After going a total of 13-1 last weekend I decide to stick with Gengar. I stay with the exact same list as the previous Sunday. Last year I won the Seaford Cities and I don't know why but I had a really bad feeling about this tournament. I go because I feel that my feeling that I won't do well is just my imagination and that I will indeed to well. I should of listen to my gut.

We only have 11 Masters and I never like tournaments like this. I don't know why but I seem to do worse the smaller the turnout most likely because I run into so many random decks.

R1 - Brian G. (Tyranitar)

He goes first and starts with Lunatone I beleive. He attaches retreats and uses Sableye to grab a Mars. He then proceeds to lucksac into choosing my 1 supporter in my 5 card hand. This set me back a few turns and allowed him to grab a 3-0 prize advantage before I could make a dent. I manage to claw my way back, but I missed a few energy drops (I had a turn where I wanted to poltergist to ohko his Tyranitar because I knew he had a lot of trainers but had missed a few energy drops and couldn't) and that proceeds to be the difference. If he grabs any other card in my hand (3 Energy and a Night Maintenance) I would of been confident that I would of won, however Brian got lucky and pulled the right card and that allowed him to win a close game. I manage to take 5 of my 6 prizes but can't win even with the disadvantage.

Loss (0-1)

I am positive that with 4 rounds and a T2 cut that I can't make cut, but I can still gain points if I manage to go 3-1. So with winning the event out of the question I decide to try to go for 3-1 so I can gain around 8 points from the event.

R2 - Frankie Durso (Scizor/Cherrim)

I get a really good start to his good start, however the fact that I go 2/2 on Fainting Spell vs. his Scizors. This ultimately dooms him.

Win (1-1)

R3 - Jennifer (Magnezone Lv. X/Palkia Lv. X/Dialga Lv. X)

She gets a T3 Dialga Lv. X which I luckily go 2/2 on the two turns it was out. I get a great start and manage to take a huge lead. She however starts to make a comeback. She even manages to get a second Dialga Lv. X out which I go 1/2 and have one of my turns skipped, which wasn't fun. I manage to KO it and then her Palkia Lv. X on the bench to take my last two prizes. A key flip heads on Fainting Spell was huge in this game.

Win (2-1)

R4 - Darrell (Dusknoir)

I get a decent start however his is MUCH better. He updated his list and his changes did give me a bit of trouble, but more so because I had one of my Unown G prized and after 3 prizes I was unable to draw it. I get to the point where I accidently attached to the wrong pokemon which proceeds to be my downfall as I needed to Poltergist his active. He added a spiritomb and that suprises me and ends up being the difference as I scoop when on my next turn I can't draw my TSD or Night Maintenance to recycle the Unown G that my last Gengar had on it as I was unable to grab. Without it he was able to KO anything I play on my bench including a RC Gengar. Had I got it I may have been able to win, but it would of been an uphill battle as I would of had 3 prizes left to his one. I think it would of ended up being more of a game if I had been able to recycle back the G. However, I can't and I proceed to scoop since I see him able to take the final prize.

Loss (2-2)

I make a valiant effort but I am unable to go 3-1. I am most likely going to lose about 8 points so that last game was an 16 point swing. I would of gone up 8 points instead of most likely losing 8. I should be around 1713 when all my tournaments are uploaded as I still have an 8-1 record from the previous weekend that needs to go in. So overall 10-3 still need to be uploaded. I could be upset, but I am still in the middle of the pack and have next week to rebound. I have a few ideas I might try to see if I can make my Gengar list even better as I feel that it could be helpful with all the Unown G seeing play.

Thanks for reading and Congrats to Mikey for winning the Event going 5-0 with Gigas. I would of like to of played Mikey as I have a feeling we would of had a really good and close game.

wow drew ... LOL at the lucksac ... whatevs GG

DIAMONDS ARE FOREVERRRRRR FOREVER FOREVERRRRRR

It kind of was. The game was close and the fact was you had a 20% chance of grabbing the one card that crippled my start. I am pretty sure the game would of been different if you had grabbed any of the other 4 cards in my opening hand.

GJ getting second though Brian, :thumb:

thanks drew ... GET @ U MAKING FUN OF PATRICKS HAIR ALL DAY LMAOOOO

but u also forgot to put in where u made mistakes about ur cresselia power and i let u take them both back for KO's lol

Better luck next time. Also, you should get a hold of time warp and try to see about when the event will be uploaded. I'm sure the computer error had alot to do with it, but its taken a really long time even with that considered.

Yeh, I should.

Damn yo patrick still has different hairstyles. What does this kid do change it every week.

Well, he said he went to a 90's party and went as the Fresh Prince. Except he chose the hair syle from the beginning, you know the awful looking one, which is why he was wearing a hat the whole time because he didn't like the haircut. It seriously looks like he got into a fight with a barber and lost....bad.
