Base Set Starter Set

Okay, I'm inept at eBay or I'd find this myself.

I was at Target and there was a Base Set Starter Set (with the Machamp) on the shelf. Never been there before. There was also an Expedition Echo deck, but the plastic was ripped a bit so I opened it and had memories.

Anyway, how much is a SEALED IN PLASTIC Base Set Starter Box?

EDIT: There another thing I have a question on. How much would sealed 30-card packages of original WoTC blackstar Snorlax (with the giant Z and Eevee) be worth? Or individual copies? Thanks

Sounds like some distributors warehouse is being cleaned out.

Well, since there are more of this item that were sold than ANY other Pokemon item, I would say $5 at the most.
what pictures are on the back of the box?

Weired!!!!!

A single base set is probably worth about $3-$8. Was this a whole case of starter decks, or just one deck?

How much did they charge for it? I wouldn't buy it expecting to be able to sell it though.

It has a picture of the Machamp Card, and then smaller pictures of some energy and Rattata, Charmander, and something else. Either way, it's kinda cool and worth it for me. I only paid eight for it.

It was a single deck, and it was just laying on the shelf under the hanging packs. It was very strange.

No chance it has the red border on the back huh? I am doubting it but if they do then you have yourself a very expensive deck. If it is the regular blue border it is like the prices quoted above.

How much is the red border one worth, and what makes it special? Is it earlier or something? I've never heard of this.

No, the Trainer Deck A box looks totally different. Nothing at all like a Starter Set.
A Trainer Deck A, sealed in the box, is worth upwards of $100. One went for $500.

I doubt you got lucky, but whenever you get a Machamp deck, check the Digletts. See if any the energy symbols for any of the attacks are sideways. These error cards can be found in some starter decks.

Nope, mine is absolutely ordinary in every way. Eh, it's still kind of fun to see all these old cards in new condition.

Anyone know about the Snorlax question?

Snorlax's are $1 each, or so.
If you want to sell a whole pack (25, not 30), then your talking $10-15 or so, as a wholesale price.

we just saw the wotc base set starters at target today, and they were scanning at $10. huh?! that's what they were when NEW...o_O

'mom

There's a store here that's had them ever since they came out. They've still got boxes and boxes of them on the shelves...
