Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Beedrill VS. Gyarados ???

What do you think, which one is better ? If I write better I think more consistant and more aggresive in current format. I saw Grinders winning Speedrill list and TOP8 French Gyarados list, but I cant decide, which one is better to playtest and to play ...

Do you have some experience with these decks ?

What is your opinion ?

Discuss please !

The game is pretty weird. Usually whoever takes the first prize will win the game. (Beedrill vs Gyarados)

I do however think the textbook speedrill deck has a better matchup than my "RayBees" deck does.

Speedrill>Gyarados
RayBees vs Gyarados (50/50)

If your looking for a deck to play in your area I'd have to say speedrill is a good choice, seeing as gyarados has an incredibly hard gengar game IMO

What is so hard on Gyarados match-up vs Gengar ? I think tht Gyarados is quick adn 90 dmg and next turn KO Gengar via Uxie is faster than he can setup Gengar and Nidoqueen to counter this plan ...
Ane if he setup Queen you can still KO Gengar via Crobat + Turn drop or not ?

If the gyarados player had hit 1 SSU out of 3 he would have won.

And then had to win another game. At the same point gyrados will do a lot better in dp-sv then beedrill. I just tested beedrill a lot vs blaziken luxray and it's a very hard matchup. Not to mention beedrill seems harder to play then gyrados.

And Gyaradso dont have bad match up vs any Luxray variation ? It gotta be hard to play vs something that have 60 + your weak attak (and sometimes maybe Lucario GL in play) or not ?

At the same point you one or 2 shot their luxray and also between the ssu the weakness doesn't even matter. Not to mention most luxblaze decks have a good beedril matchup while gyrados beats them.

I think it's probably because of the lack of Claydol the deck has and the reliance on straight draw, thus a larger hand for Poltergeist.

Didnt the list run blissey in it as well? Or was it someone else that ran blissey just as a tech?

Blisseys primary job was to counter Kingdra, just so Kingdra would have to 3HKO instead of a 2HKO Gyarados. That's if Kingdra used pluspowers or Crobat G.

It could seem that Gyarados haves a tough with Flygon, how to help that machup (Flygon hits out your BTS and then KO and the same again). And how to play around Mr Mime MT or Dusknoir SF? For me Luxray could sem a reasonable TeCH....

I would pick Gyarados, cause I Think Beedrill has worse match up against Infernape and Gengar, and this one are still very comon decks (And now with relicanth gengar will be a little better)

I read many wrong things OMG...

Gyarados is less sensitive to any lock, but Beedrill can more consistently do 120 damages for a OHKO on every turn.

I, of course, prefer Gyarados.

I totally agree, you're right. Beedrill vs Gyarados is in Beedrill's favour. Our match was about 50-50 yes it's something like this.

Btw I don't think that Gengar is that hard. Didn't playtest so I can't say, but in theory it must be tight.

Not at all ! I beat many decks running Luxray X, and even a Luxtric. Luxray can be OHKO'd, so you make them loose 2 Energy turns. Those games are pretty easy.

Right I think !

Gyarados /w Floatzel GL> Speedril

Nikola, you're so... wrong !

False, unless you're talking about Raybees.

You could make the MU 50-50 against traditonal beedrill by playing a 1-1 luxray gl lvx tech. Your strategy has to geared toward knocking out their RR Beedrills with a combination of pluspowers(if you played them) and crobat g. KO both RR beedrill will slow down their recovery part of their deck and reducing their attack damage to 60.
Remember to never played BTS before you are ready. Let them play it.

Really, once you get mid to late game with limited options and begin to have to think about your techs it is easy. I love how any deck ca become hyped nd is instantly easy to play. I mean Infer-ray had the same thing happen. Until you have tested a deck and have played its hard matches multiple times don't call a deck easy to play.
