Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Believe the Hype ???? (hydreigon)

VileLostGar only played one Gengar Prime and almost never used the LW win condition. It wasn't really anything like the straight Lostgar decks that everyone was hyping and panicking about.

The most successful LW variant would be the Mewgar that got top 16 or 32 (can't remember which) at US Nats.

I prefer to use Darkrai LV X as an excuse not to believe in hype.

Still counts as lostgar for me :p

But yeah Darkrai LvX is a better excuse.

That thing is pure evil.

It could work with just about any deck in which you transfer energy.

I am thinking with Kyerum?

I don't get why people are upset at the hype over lostgar this badly.
Lostgar still turned into a good deck, if anyone remembers, lostvilegar came 2nd at one of the biggest European tournaments, losing only because of a misplay. Stop using lostgar as an excuse to not believe that anything will be good, this deck hasn't had countless threads about it.

It's not the deck that people aren't believing in(though I personally thought that Lostgar was a shoddy deck once I actually played it, but that's just me), it's the people going: "Oh! This card is going to redefine the format" again and again that upset most people. Theorymon mixed with hype and a lack of playtesting, gotta love it. :D

whats the synergy with steelix/klingklang? Doesn't make any sense.

If anything, I would say electrode/hydreigon + dragons or some stage 1 that can attack easily.

There is a tiny amount of synergy in steelix/klingklang..........if KlingKlang could move any energy (double colourless) then it may be viable

Wow, Troll and Toad just blasted their prices up on Noble Victories singles... I remember when 10$ could have gotten me 2 of them... now it is exactly 9.99.... and Kyurem spiked up to 20$... On eBay auctions are all fired up! None of these are gonna be let go for any less than 10$. Unless you just happen to be really lucky buyer or unlucky seller.

Hydreigon is pretty cool though, DCE can be used and Emboar's ability can be abused too but with Pokemon Catchers flying around, Deinos and Zweilous are gonna be picked off or sniped. Players gonna need to get that Vileplume from Undaunted to protect themselves for such tragedy... wish I didn't sell my Vileplume to Gamingetc for 3$... Oh well. With 150HP it could do some heavy damage before it goes down. Just give it 2-3 turns and it won't be long if the benchers survive the assault and take out Hydreigon, you should be able to pick the rest pretty easily. So players would look to prevent Hydreigon from being played... man I'm getting excited, I kind of want to be the one going up against this beast!

Glad I already got my Hydreigon pre-ordered... wonder if Troll and Toad will still spike up the prices for it now that the packs are finally out in retail? Or will it lower?

NV will bring a lot more to the format, honestly. It's going to change a lot. We won't be seeing AS many basic Pokemon decks in the format. It'll be more open to newer ideas. Kyurem AND Hyrdreigon will both find playability somewhere and with that being said, so will a lot of other older cards that have been thought out and tossed aside. My prediction.

I am thinking of putting $15 a piece on Kyurems.

I think Troll and Toad over prices some stuff, their is no sense in paying more than Ebay for anything.

Tried out the deck, in a LOT of styles today, and had the most fun playing with Hydreigon/Emboar/Ninetales.

The deck has a really tight list, and doesn't even include DCE in it, but seems to be quite consistent getting good results. Being able to damage the bench for so much per turn really pressures your opponent and makes them control their bench better. Also tried Leavanny to counter donphan, but debating on whether it's worth it.

I believe when Sky Arrow Bridge comes out, Celebi and Hydreigon could be a somewhat consistent deck. But again, this is pure speculation and ahead of our format. Mainly, I think Hydreigon a novelty card that could be used as a fun deck to play.

^ when skyarrow bridge comes out, hydreigon will be outclassed by all of the ex cards. Hydreigon and friends have only the upcoming cities flurry to really make an impact b4 the WHOLE META is disrupted by Mewtwo ex and friends.

I'm looking around and I'm not seeing any good list for it. What everything we have now, there are better options to play.

Spread decks are more of my speed so I'll try something out. At most, people will use it for it's Outrage attack.

Deck I posted in deck and strategies is about the only real good use for it.

its a tanking card and a good bench hitter, it gives time to power up Feraligatr and Blastoise to do more destruction.

I like making ambiguous posts.

But to clarify, I think that Kyurem will be doing good things in HGSS-NV. Just not necessarily with Blastoise and/or Floatzel and/or Gatr.

That would depend what you played it with.

Cobalion looks like the most serious threat.
