So, I've won 4 CC and got 2nd at 1 and 3rd at 2, and on the pokemon website it counted the points for all of them and didn't only take the best 5. Just wondering if the best finish limits don't matter or something.
Thanks

Actually, that's incorrect. Currently the Pokèmon website is taking your best SIX finishes right now.

Source-My brother and other players I've talked to.

Although your situation is an odd one...

Championship Points come with a best limits finish. Pokemon only take the Top X positions you finish. Let's say you place 1st, 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in Cities. The Best Limit finish is 5. Pokemon would then take the Top 5 (1st, 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd) and give you those points and 3rd/4th would not count. This prevents players to go to several marathons and rack up points. However, apparently Pokemon is not capping the points based on what Wailord Master is saying.

What is was wondering is, is it going to stay like this or is it just a momentary glitch or something of that sort?

My last win just got updated and only gave me two points instead of six and it was my 7th win/top cut t a CC, so it is only counting best 6.

Does that mean the best finish limit is 6? Or is it going to change to 5?

I honestly think it would be pretty ridiculous for Pokemon to not follow their word and just change their best limit finish without telling their players. However, from what I'm understanding from your post, it seems like you are getting your points upgraded.

What I mean is: If you finished 1st 1st 1st 1st 2nd at Cities and win another cities, then your 2nd place finish gets upgraded to a 1st place finish and you get 1 point rather than 5. I'm not sure if this is the case, but your posts makes it sound like you've gained 2 more points, upgrading a T4 finish.

I'm assuming it's a mistake until we are told otherwise.

I was going to say "they wouldn't change it without telling us", but TPCi's communication hasn't been so good lately. . .

This is a relative of the problem that prevents events that are tagged after the results are uploaded from counting. Before the holiday break we tried to correct all these once a week, but this hasn't been done for several weeks now.

The permanent fix that will prevent this from happening at all is scheduled for the end of this week. We will not attempt to fix individual tournaments until next week because we are hopeful that this weeks update will resolve all these errors. The end result should be that all City Championships are subject to a best 5 limit.

This systematic fix won't do anyting about problems related to incorrect Player ID numbers or wrong dates of birth. Those types of problems will still need to be reported and dealt with individually.
