Better poison/burn markers

In all the matches I've played, I don't recall ever seeing anyone using poison and burn markers that were any fancier than the cardboard ones from theme decks. Ideally I'd like something roughly the same size as the standard markers, and something that will be unambiguous to my opponent as to which condition it represents. Does anyone else play with something like this?

I've seen someone use some marble-like stones things with red and green colors representing Burn or Poison.
Don't know where to get them though. But it looked pretty good and fancy.

I use whatever I can find; rubber bands, pins, pennys, rocks, tissue paper, a torn up card, pocket lint, 3 dollars, ect. And rarely a real marker.

Anything I can find.

anything can be used as a marker, even a red/green dice. as long as it is a marker.
at some higher level events/ or events in general you can get a warning/caution for not having them.

There's a lady at FL events who actually paints on a little green skull or a red flame on the bottom of clear glass damage counters, making it look like a damage counter with burn or poison, respectively.

Even had shockwave counters when they were out.

They're very cool looking.

I've seen dice that are one solid color without dots on all sides, and a few people at a CC today had a green and red one in their dice box.

I have conic red and conic green markers. Silvery bottoms. Used to be my favorite status markers.

My favorites now are some glass beads by Imajewels - "Super Hero Pack 1 - Fire at the Old Chemical Plant". I guess originally to be used with HeroClix. They have cloth images at the bottom. Green toxic barrel on yellow background - poisoned. Red firetruck on white - burned. "Bif", "Bam", "Pow", "Zap" - damage counters.

Back in the old days of base set, they used to put marble like damage counters in the theme decks. I hung onto some of them, and use a brown one for poison, and a yellow one for burn. Better markers would be pretty helpful though.

I saw someone once that had cut the energy symbols (with 3 coresponding white-ish spike things) out of the original energy cards, and used them for burn and poison (fire/grass, respectively). It was pretty cool looking, but a little big maybe.

I went to Iparty And found a bag of jewels? I dont rememeber what they were called but there pretty neat looking rocks that are red/green/blue/yellow/

I use... err... PLUSHIES to tell me if is Burned or Poison. Lol. Most times, its Leafeon for Poison and Flareon for BURRRRRRNNNNNNNN. Vaporeon for Asleep, Jolteon for Paralyzed, and Espeon for Confusion. What about Glaceon and Umbreon, you may ask? Glaceon would be acting if there is a Power lockdown, and Umbreon would be in if there is a Trainer Lockdown. xD

I use plastic chickens. They are really funny, and I have like 10 different colors of them so i know which is which(red=burn yellow = para ect ect)

I have seen some other creatives ones, but I think plastic chickens wins.

For burn, I use a red damage counter; from back in the day. For poison, I have a Coca-Cola bottle cap that has ARBOK spelled out on it. I found it really funny when I went to My Coke Rewards to enter the code in.

A guy at the last cities I went to had 3 diemensional makers. They were about an inch tall, apparently they were sold at Nationals last year. Very cool stuff.

I have seen a person who uses little figurines for the effects e.g. Deoxys = Confused, Zapdos = Para.
I used to use Lollipops, but they were generally eaten at the end of the game...

I tend to use small glass marble-type things; the type that you can put in fishbowls/atriums/potted plant set-ups. A dollar store near my house selles 1-pd. bags of em', so I bought a few. Since I use die for damage counters, I just use the glass things for status conditions. I always carry two different color ones in my deck boxes, sometimes three, and I have a 1-pd. bag in my backpack, for when I go to tourneys, in case anyone needs damage counters/status markers. When I saw em' in the store, they reminded me of the old ones that used to be included with decks. I managed to find one set of the old ones a while back, so I've been using them with my decks recently, and just letting other people use the other ones.
