Simple, SLOW DECK. It didn't make sense for Master Ball to be able not to retrieve a Pokemon while Great Ball was guaranteed to. We'll likely eventually get a Master Ball reprint that does what Great Ball used to.
Does anyone have any info on the Emboar with the Ability? Is the PokeBeach correct?

Our Luxury Ball does what Master Ball should IMHO.
I'm somewhat confident Pokemon is actually the #1 TCG by a wide margin. Just look to Walmart or Target and observe which game they stock most heavily. It's merely that the competitive environment is nonexistent. Most Pokemon players are collectors first.
Walmart and Target do not stock their own TCGs. They rent out the space to a third party. Also, most of the Pokemon at Walmart and Target is clearly not leftover/repackaged stock but new merchandise. Nintendo would not keep pushing out product unless there was demand and they were making a profit.Just because they carry the most of a certain brand, certainly doesn't make it #1. Also, you will notice it looks like they stock it most heavily because it doesn't sell anywhere near as fast as Yuh-Gi-Oh and MTG. MTG and Yuh-Gi-Oh don't put out as much merchandise as Nintendo, so Wal-Mart and Target don't have to purchase as much.

Looks right to me.
I ran out of 'Thanks' for the day, so THANKS!!
Just to be sure though, it says to any Pokemon not just :fire: Pokemon, correct?
Let's not dodge a major issue with many of us PokeDads and collectors out there. There is a MAJOR financial shortfall if a mid-season rotation is announced just 3 weeks before Nationals or Worlds. We won't be able to get aything back for the cards we invested in, and Pokemon expects us to keep shelling out money for crap sets like COL, and incomplete sets like the upcoming B&W. In case TCPI didn't notce, the World economies are going through miserable times right now, and Pokemon cards will be the first thing households get rid of to maintain other aspects of their life.
All we want is consistency. Not a seven set rotation one year, no rotation another year, a mid-season rotation to bail out all the dumb ideas TCPI comes up with another year. That's why Pokemon will always be #3 on the TCG Gaming chart behind Yuh-Gi-Oh and MTG. Pokemon attracts kids more than any other TCG, but kids (and parents) get driven away quickly when we see just how flawed the game has become. Isn't there a reason why more adults play MTG and Yuh-Gi-Oh than Pokemon? We parents are the ones footing the bills here, not the nine and ten year old kids Pokemon markets their cartoons and toys to.
Think about the rotation Japan went through for a moment. They went through a TRUE mid-season rotation and cut an additional 4 sets more than we would if we went HGSS-on. So it's kind of funny to hear people complain about a mid-season rotation when Japan just went through an even more severe overhaul of the game. The reason they did it was to maintain the health and integrity of the game. I too would lose a lot of cards in the process, but I would accept it and enjoy it more in the long run. Plus, a card rotation has to occur sometime, right?
I've also been anticipating some kind of move for some while, actively trading for HGSS-on cards at tournaments in case P!P does go through with a mid-season rotation. While I know people would lose cards and be upset, it's actually pretty unexpected for sets like LA and SF to even be in our current format anyway. If you've been playing this game for awhile, you should understand that a rotation is inevitable and be thankful that your LA/SF cards are even legal right now. And if you just recently got into the game, I'm sorry that you had to go back like 10 sets to find any good cards. Also, it looks like the Japanese rotation was abrupt and completely unexpected, so I see how this has been a difficult pill for TCPI to swallow.
I do agree with what you said about the consistency of rotations. I would prefer a simple decision by P!P to stay in line as much as possible with Japan's format. It would help preserve the health of the format while giving people a reliable way to foresee changes in the game.
The buy in to be a competitive magic or yugioh player runs about 400-600 per deck. Luxchomp can be built for about 200(Even the wow tcg buy in is more expensive). When I say competitive I mean like consistently winning tournaments and making top cut. Not to mention they're tournaments cost money, major tourneys(states, regionals, nats) are about $25 a person

Another concern is that Japan gets another hit since at worlds they'll have to play using this format which is a format that they were never even close to having. MD-on + the rule changes will be crazy for them to adapt too.
ICv2 is generally a good place to look at stuff like this.
Unfortunately, Q4 estimates are not quite so great. Pokemon is the T2 Mass channel TCG, and #3 overall, behind (in order) MTG, and YGO.
