Blastoise ex vs. Ho-oh ex

I have a Blastoise ex Active with 4 water Energy attached to it. My opponent has a Ho-oh ex Active with 3 energy attached to it. I use Hyper Whirlpool, do I still get to flip to see if I discard Energy cards from Ho-oh ex before my opponent uses Rainbow Wing to move back Energy?

Yes. The energy is not moved until the Ho-oh ex is being removed from play, which is after attack effects are resolved.
