Blaziken Deck for Worlds

Oh, jeez,...

I am going to get slammed for this, but do you REALLY think the only player you have to worry about is Mr. Turner, and there will not be an invasion in the Memphis Gym Challenge from the West and the North??? I have heard of players from OHIO planning on trying to make this one....

Be ready for all the big decks, because they are ALL going to be there...just beating Slaking (a beast in itself) may not be enough.

Ya i agree, there is at least 2 GOOD 11-14 players coming from St. Louis.

I havent heard anything from Ohio, except from YJ and he said to me that hes not gonna come.

Well,at the time I said that I was going off of who I already knew was going. Thanks for letting me know.

I was thinking about removing HPS for a Switch/Warp Point because I won't be retreating often with fire pokemon(Besides Bex) and I could use that extra Switch/Warp Point to bench it anyway. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

hps CAN help, but any card that can help your opponent isn't worth running, IMO. Personally, I think you shoud TecH in either a 1/1 Mareep/Amphy line or a 1/1 Team Aqua's Manectric line-- Up to you, really.

I don't want to use an energy transfer pokemon because if it gets knocked out it will slow me down to much to recover.Also,if I have 1-1 lines I'll risk having either pokemon in my prizes.

Mr. Fuji, 1/1 lines are an EXCELLENT idea...Michael Pramawat and a few others tossed this idea around (you ran it at the SC, congrats on T8!) and built a SOLID list, the 1/1 line is good, Aqua's Manectric COULD work in the one one line, because not so many candy wouuld be needed (2 much dependence w/ Amphy), but by playing 2 Busken, you can increase your odds, if you can just find the room. Here's a 1/1 list: (my version, Mike and Fuji also have some pwnage lists)

SuperWooper- Thanks for that fix,I used that list Saturday and got 3rd place at a GC!Something can be fixed with that list but I can't put my finger on it.Perhaps a Wobbuffet or Pokemon Reversal?

I think you forgot the mini-invasion from the South. ^_~ We'll be bringing 2 15+ players (including myself), and 2-3 11-14 players (including my little bro who won Nashville ^_~), and possibly my little sister for 1 10- player

I usually go 3/2, just because everybody else does. XP, but I like 4/1 a whole bunch. With 2 PETM, you should be fine going 4/1, but 3/2 would be better, that's the one reason you have 2 PETM: to find the regular Blaziken faster. If you go 4/1, only use 1 PETM, since that's all that will be necessary, and tECh a Friend Ball or something, which is very cool to find Delcatty, Skitty, Dunsparce, Rayquaza, because everybody plays either Dunsparce or Delcatty (except for Gardy). You might want to add some kind of counter gym...HPS might be good, just for tECh, it can help nicely with a setup wherein Mareep or Amphy/Trike or Tric is in your prizes.

I would ask your brother to drop out if he made top 4 just because he's already won a trip and so someone who hasn't won a trip couild have a shot at going to Worlds.(You can only win 1 trip anyway.)

SW- I think I'm gonna go 4/1 on the Blazikens but I'm not completly sure I want to remove a PETM. One could be used to get a Delcatty and the other could be used to get a Blaziken or Ampharos.If I were to remove a PETM I would put in either a Reversal(At times I've needed this card at the beginng just to knock out a main attacker.) or a POR (For some extra draw power.) Friend Ball is an idea but I'd rather go for something more reliable.

--ty, ty. I can't take ALL the credit-- Mike actually helped me out learnin` the ropes when I first started playing again-- I did repay the favor tho

And definately go 4/1-- As said before, if you have 3/2 and PETM you can still get things going fast, but the problem you encounter is when one dies. Now you only have 2. Then only 1. The 4th one just covers ya in case one is in the prizes or one gets knocked out. Just some insurance, IMO.

He plans on dropping out right before the Top 4 cut (assuming he makes it)...I beleive...although he may still be a hinderance to those looking to get into the Top 4. I made my own BR deck today...played it against my BAR deck... so far the BR deck is 3-0 against BAR...just gotta continue my play testing. Right now I'm running it w/o the Amph and 3 each of Warp and Switch. I found out I need a few lightning energy, overall your deck looks really stable, should do great. Good luck.

I put Omastar in there instead of Ampharos because Amphy has never been helpful and so I could use Omastar to screw up my opponet's setup.I haven't tested it yet but I'm sure it will come in handy.

I also removed a lightning for a Bex because I can't risk having one of them in my prizes in a mirror match.

Any suggestions?

YES.Why? Because helf the timeif you retreat normally you need the energy in the discard pile anyway.Having more energies available to blaze back is a GOOD thing.
