True, true, but then why on earth would someone run Chatot?

Considering Dusknoir decks can now do 70 Damage on their second turn (assuming they go second), nothing's really safe.

Chatot is for late game in this deck bad hand + mimic = better hand

Mimic relies a little too much on the opponent for my personal tastes...

Vulpix dropping two energy (that can be grabbed by your other pokes) to draw 4 > Shuffling your hand into your deck and losing any viable advantage you would receive with the cards you draw. Especially if your opponent's hand is relatively small.
