Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Blissey in DP-ON?

Blissey is still a very good all around card, and considering a lot of next season will be constant quick decks with low HP's, Blissey will be one of the things around to keep up with it.

Yeah, you can GB all you want, Blissey can still keep up with AMU's speed, moreso with good lock down. Combined with Luxray to combat Kingdra and one shot pixies, and you have a powerful pink fat egg thing.

I've found that Boost is helpful, but not necessary. Blissey works just fine without it, dealing exceptional growing damage, and still can do massive damage along with Plus Powers and Bucks still hanging around. In a format where lower HP pokemon will be sticking around and Stage 1's will be the way to go, Blissey is still uno supremo.

Knowing Banbliss loses Ascension Shuppet, thats not the way to go anymore. Efficient Blissey lines will be sticking to Luxray to deal with Level X's and other quick Stage 1's.

Don't forget speed Blissey either.

Then you cut the Banette line to 3-3 Banette and 4-4 Blissey. ONly thing is BanBliss is more of a threat with Cess/Crystal Beach

Cutting a Banette line also means losing more efficient Spiteful Pain. The deck is far more efficient in the speed category with 4-4 Banette because it guarantees Banette aggro and could combat Gardelade.

Losing Ascension Shuppet seriously slows it down, and theres plenty of other options that you can use.

Banbliss was an efficient choice at nationals because it could break even with GG and could use Cess/Beach. It loses those and due to that, prepare to see Banette's dying more often. Not that the loss of Beach is a big deal or anything.

But since GG/PLOX would be decreasing in numbers due to other options and quicker decks, going aggro Blissey to counter something like Sprites/Kingdra,why try to go Aggro Banette since it wouldnt be as fast or as effective since it the main deck isnt the main threat anymore.

Er, I don't know if you had some errors in your sentence or what, I'm trying to understand what you mean above.. Sorry.. :p

If you mean that T2 Banette will be powerful again, then really, I don't see why. Losing Ascension Shuppet and GG losing gas won't require Banette's service much longer, whereas something like Luxray that can combat Pixies through its body or even something goofy like Mr. Mime or even Milotic. You could even run BDW again with a Mightyena tech.

Its more trying to combat the meta than anything. Blissey is good but needs a good partner. I don't see T2 Blissey being as efficient now that Cess Crystal has left the format and that was the whole purpose of T2 Bliss.

Emmm No...not what I was saying.

I was saying since Banette isnt as effective since its lost its speed and since GG wont be so dominate or played in such vast numbers, why have a 4-4 line of it since it wont be effective as a 4-4 line of Blissey, which would be better suited to handle Kingdra/Sprites/etc.

I wasnt talking about T2 Banette/nore T2 Blissey. I was speaking on BanBliss if anyone were to play it. Get it what Im saying now :p

Ah, okay. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

I don't see Banette as efficient at all after format rotation. Theres plenty of other good ideas that you could run that would be more efficient. Where you could run a 4-4 Banette now, you could run a 3-2-3 of Luxray and be able to deal with not only Pixies but Kingdra as well. I mean think about it, only two turns of Happy Chance can deal with any Pixie while setting up Luxray who can also get energies back, and also can one shot any Pixie by itself. Efficient energy attachment can set up Luxrays while setting Blisseys up as well, and you can sneak a 1-1 Mightyena and a Minun if you really wanted to.

Granted, you'd need Rare Candy in a deck that normally wouldn't need it, but you wouldn't need a whole bunch, and you could Candy Bliss if you wanted to.

I'm worried more about next season.. and I just don't see Banette as nearly as good now without Ascension as thats where its speed came from. Setting up to Banette guaranteed by T2 as opposed to not even having the Bebe's get it or using the Bebe's for a Blissey instead of wasting it on a Banette. I just don't like it nearly as much without ascension.

I know, thats what I was saying, that Banette wouldnt be effective, but we dont know how viable it would be next season since all the decks that are playable havent been tested against everything that the field could have,so we dont know,we can only guess.

Speed means nothing if I keep KOing your Blissys that have all your energy one them. By the time a Blissy would ever be able to start to OHKO any of my pokemon, I KO it. I also can warp point, lock powers if you run them, and snipe if I want/need to. Sorry but I just don't see how DP on Blissy can consistently beat AMU, not counting a Blissy made to beat JUST AMU and nothing else.

With all the neat cards in the next two sets, I would be ashamed if the best Blissey idea I could come up with was Blissey/Banette. lol

Why,just play Blissey with Groundon/Kyogre LA,you get the attachment you want, the discard you want.Registeel would be good tech and so would the Deoxys,Blissey could be a good tech deck since its Colorless.
