The first step in streamlining the redemption process for code cards found in Pokémon TCG booster packs occurred with the Pokémon TCG: Black & White—Plasma Storm expansion. Code cards found in these booster packs unlock a digital Black & White—Plasma Storm booster pack, rather than a booster credit which must then be redeemed in the Shop to unlock a booster pack. This same process has carried forward to the latest expansion, Black & White—Plasma Freeze, and will continue to apply to future expansions.

As discussed in the initial news announcement, the second step in the streamlining process will apply this same redemption method to code cards found in booster packs from expansions prior to Black & White—Plasma Storm. Beginning July 1, 2013, all unredeemed code cards found in Pokémon TCG booster packs will unlock a digital booster pack from the same expansion, including expansions prior to Black & White—Plasma Storm. Unredeemed code cards from other products that currently grant booster credits, such as those found in the Evolved Battle Action Tins, will instead grant digital booster packs from the Pokémon TCG expansion that was the newest available at the time the product was originally released.

Digital booster packs for expansions from HeartGold & SoulSilver through Black & White—Boundaries Crossed will remain available in the Shop in exchange for booster credits through the end of 2013. On January 6, 2014, players with unredeemed booster credits will automatically have those credits replaced with an equal number of assorted digital booster packs for expansions from Black & White through Black & White—Dragons Exalted.

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you in the game!

Got a month to get those codes in...
Thankfully my new laptop's camera reads them a lot better than my old laptop!

Quick note, I've corrected a typo in the original article. Re-posting here for clarification

Thanks Mike!

OK, now here's my question. I've got a couple of hundred code cards.
From what set should I be selecting packs from when trading in my generic packs?

For trade value, usually BCR and DEX have the highest trade value, from what I've seen. Otherwise, get whichever sets you have yet to complete.

Id even go as far as to say that DEX is pretty much the best. Dark engine, Darkrai, Tornadus, Rare Candy, Ultra Ball, N, Juniper, Cheren, Gold Catcher. BCR only has Blastoise, Keldeo and Landorus, pretty much.
