Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Brookfield, WI CC Sat. 11/20!

Are you busy the day after the CC? I'll be having a modified tournament here in Whitewater at 1pm Sunday. Want to have a rough idea on whos coming and what kind of admission (if any) and prize support is wanted. My prize structure wont be able to compare to what you offer being a poor college student, but I do the past I can. Theres a link to my league/tournment thread in my signature.

Anybody who thinks they may be able to attend PM me or post on my thread and I can give you any details you may need, like directions and such.

I'll be at the CC for sure, I'll be busy playtesting all week with rulemaster and pokewisconsin.

We've had a surge of new players at league recently. I think that'll carry over into good numbers for our CC!

I need to get going on deckbuilding myself. I look forward to actually playing in someone else's tournaments for a change. I'd like to win another World's invite, and I'll need to do some serious testing to get there.

I've gotten some inquiries about the side event over AIM. It will be a straight draft event, using Neo or Expedition-block cards. Prizes will be from MF-legal sets (probably TRR). The cost will be $10.

I cannot believe CC's for the 2005 Tournament Season are already here. This year has been going so fast (probably because of school), and I will be ready for anything at the CC's this Saturday.

For anyone from league who is aware, what decks have been common around league since the release of TRR? Just wondering, because I plan on going rogue and have not been able to attend league since TRR. I will be at league the week following the CC.

I expect to see a great variety of decks played this weekend. I'm sure we will see some well known decks as well as some highly original decks.

We enjoyed the Brookfield TRR Prerelease, but unfortunately we won't be able to make it. (RATS)
But really looking forward to hearing about the deck's that are there and how they did.

You going to any other city championships?

If I manage to get one here in Whitewater it would probably be the last weekend, Jan. 22nd or 23rd. I'll be completing my 4th tourney as a TO this week, sounds like once you complete 4 you're eligible to run a CC. So I'm hoping!

Niles, Crystal Lake, hopefully some of the Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin ones. This one, Niles, and CL are the 3 that I am definately going to.

I hope you get a CC, mekonow, it would be nice to have another CC within a few hours reach of a lot of people in the IL/WI area. This time at Brookfield, Team IL is going to arrive in many seperate vehicles vs. all together in 3 last time...

Notice to all attending this CC: Play me in the tournament or fun and get a special promo card- Makona. If you have not gotten an Alaskan Pikachu, you will get that instead. Hope to see everyone again on Saturday!

Note: The venue for this event has seating for only 50 players. Please arrive on time to be sure you are able to play. We could have a few games running on the floor, but there are definitely limits to that. We have never had more than 36 players at any event here, but free admission has a way of bringing people out of the woodwork.

I will open registration as early as possible, which should be no later than 10:30.

See you all soon! :D

Well good news guys! Im going to be able to make it. One way or another. I cant wait to see all my cheese head friends agian.

This tourny seems like it should be a lot of fun. And very competative.

Thanks for the heads up on the attendance, I'm sure you don't want any one turned away or want a repeat of what happened in a recent prerelease tournament. I will probably be heading up there right after I get off of work, should be there by 8:30- I know I'll get my spot!

I appreciate the enthusiasm... :thumb:

But, the doors will not open until 10:00. Registration will probably not open until 10:15 or 10:30. Anyone who's there at 10:00 WILL play, local or otherwise.

JARED--would you be able to swing over here to whitewater on the 21st for a modified tourney? I saw you mention you need to start playing and that again so you can qualify for worlds again. I'm hoping you and/or some other people from the CC will be able to make it.
