Hi this is Adam Garcia! Well shucks, this format is pretty bad. I haven't really kept up with much and have had pretty terrible records. From getting t1'd 3 times at Louisiana states to getting N'd to 1 card twice in Mississippi. Rocketman, his son, and Matt were all asking me if I wanted to playtest, but I just shrugged it off and proceeded to play dota2 and do really well as Witch Doctor, or Bounty Hunter. Let me say this, Riki is so stupid.
We arrive in Houston at 4 pm and I meet up with everyone, still completely undecided on what to play. Eventually Weldon and I talk and he says he has a sick zekrom list, and coaxes me to his bedroom (for a second I thought I was about to get hugged). I take a look at it and decide that it was worth a shot. I eventually build it but couldn't get a hold of a third mewtwo so with a group decision we decide shaymin over tyrogue. I play a test game against brent and completely smash his face in and decide it was time to go to bed.

Round 1 David Garza Vanilluxe/Mew/Pidgeot looking guy
I open Shaymin, but quickly switch to thundurus and charge. He can't really get past the t2 80, so I quickly get down to two prizes. Eventually he flips double tails on fly and I get my last prize.

Round 2 Jorel Ker Zekrom/Eel/Mewtwo
This game was pretty terrible for us both. I can't seem to get a supporter or an energy, but he eventually does. We kept joking around, so I had a lot of fun. Good Game Jorel

Round 3 Katie CMT with Good Guy Gigas
I open up with zekrom and 2 tinybros, vs her Good Guy Gigas. I attach a double colorless and outrage for 20. She switches, forest breaths and attaches a dce and does his first attack. I outrage for 80, then get knocked out. I send up a zekrom, attach an energy/eviolite, double dynamotor, then shaymin the energy to him. I ko her Gigas with bolt strike and from there on she couldn't keep up with the prize exchange.

Same thing with the game against Jorel, I spend the first 4 turns draw passing. He proceeds to talk to me like i'm retarded( I may as well be) , so I got pretty tilted.

Round 7 Spitter CMT
This game was really fun, Spitter and I just shoot the shucks, while Orion sits next to us. I can't really remember much about this game, but it sure was a grand ol time.

Round 8 Adam Jones Zekrom/Eel/Mewtwo
He goes first and sages, shakes his head. Then discards 2 tynamos and a juniper. From that point he can't stabilize as I kill off his only Eel.

Round 9 James Simmerman CMT
I go first and charge with thundurus, I look through my deck and see that both mewtwos are prized. So this game is about to get really ***. I start koing celebis with thundurus and zekroms. Eventually I get my 4th prize and thankfully its a mewtwo. We're both tied at 2-2, he junipers and knocks out my last zekrom with mewtwo. I bench mewtwo, dynamotor, dce, switch and take my last two prizes.

I look at standings and realize I have to play Brit. I contemplate scooping, I call Andrew Murray to ask what I should do, and eventually decide to play it out.

This was pretty foggy, all I remember is prizing 3 junk arms, and my last 2 prizes being junk arm. He said he had game if he would have drawn super rod, so I ask him to flip for dual ball, but he gets double tails.

I stomp him to the point where he picks up his cards and says "I just don't know what to do. let's go to game 2" just like Dr Seuss.

He does a different strategy from the first games, and decides to swarm me with tornadus. I'm struggling to get a decent start but eventually get it down to 2-1. I check his discard and notice that he's played 4 juniper, 3 oak, and 3 N. I get a mewtwo out and dynamotor twice then dce. I play N, then Knock out his celebi. He draws his card and shakes his head and says "Good game".

I take a moment to shake off this win, because I was literally playing from behind that entire game.
Rocketman, Dylan, Chris, Matt and Brent pull me to the side to tell me that this was my year, and no one is messing with me. John Kettler tells me to keep it in the family. Alex fields gives me a speech about how I didn't have a choice to lose this tournament. Austin Baggs gives me his luck and tells me that no one can beat me.
I go to sleep at 4 am or so, and wake up at 7:40 am, to find that I'm playing my good friend David
Top 8 David Reichenberger Zekrom/Eel/Mewtwo
Game 1
I start a bit better than him, and manage to secure some pretty nice ko's. It ends with me koing his mewtwo for two prizes.

My start is almost mirrored to the one against Jorel. He stomps me hard.

We both open up with the 30 hp tynamo. I check my hand to see if I have the donk, but I didn't. I oak, and still no donk. We play our tynamo game for about 2 turns, before I finally get setup. With myself killing his Eels he couldn't get much out.

Isaiah got terrible draws all three games. I'm sorry that had to happen boo. At one point his hand was so bad that I didn't want to N him out of it, so I just passed for 2 turns

I prize 2 zekroms and can't compete with his flow of zekroms.

I go first and charge, and from then on take complete control of the game. He gets out 1 Eel but struggles to keep them alive.

He goes first, and doesn't do much. My turn one, I blow up. I get 3 tynamos, and a thundurus. My hand is 2 lightnings and Juniper. Drop them down and charge. His turn he plus powers, catcher, and kills my 30 hp tynamo with tyrogue. That was the last prize he was getting for a long time. Everyturn I kill either a tynamo, or an Eel. At one point I force him into killing my thundurus with his zekrom. I promote my naked zekrom and double dynamotor/shaymin for the revenge kill. The prizes are now 1-4 I take my prize and its the final Junk arm I need to win the game. I check his discard and both his N's are gone. I take a deep breath and hope he doesn't play a third N. He drops juniper. I flash the crowd my junk arm and everyone goes nuts. He mischievous punches and passes. I junk arm for catcher, and I win regionals.

I'm tearing up, christian is crying, rick, dylan, matt, and brent are hugging me. The feeling was absolutely surreal. It really shows how great of friends i've made through this game
