Brutal Bash and the Lost Zone (Zoroark DEX/LTR)

I have an interesting-but-somewhat-pointless question. Does the 20 damage-times the amount of Darkness Pokemon you have in play for Zoroark DEX/LTR's Brutal Bash attack count for Pokemon that are in the Lost Zone? That bring up another question, does a card in the Lost Zone count as a card in play?
