Round 1 Dark Marowak/Quagsire

I got a Blaziken built up really fast before he could evolve his basics. He eventually built up a Dark Marowak and knocked out Blaziken. I brought up Flareon EX and did 70 to knock out Dark Marowak. I eventually knocked out a couple basics and his Quagsire for the win...........
1-0

Round 2 Electrode/Mantetric Ex
This game went slowly. My opponent went first. He used recharge for his electrike. I drew, attached energy to Slugma and put him to sleep. He evolved into Manetric EX and took out a couple pokemon. I built up Magcargo with D rainbow and knocked out his Manetric EX. He built am Electrode and played cyclone energy and got a quick torchic prize. He later built up a Dark Raichu Ex and knocked out another basic, I knocked out the Dark Raichu Ex. with another Blaziken. When time was called I finished my attack and knocked out a pokemon to take my 6th prize.

2-0

Round 3 Typhlosion/Magcargo

I won this game on turn three. I drew torchic, fire Energy, Combusken, D Rainbow Energy, Blaziken, Copy Cat, Citrus Berry. I went second. My opponent played Cynaquil, attached energy and did not paralyze me. I attached energy to Torchic along with Citrus Berry. I put him asleep. He woke up attached energy, played a trainer but did not get another basic. He did 30 damage removed with Citrus Berry. I evolved into Combusken, attached D. Rainbow and did 30 damage. He did not get another basic on his next turn, so I evolved into Blaziken and knocked out his Cynaquil......

3-0

Round 4 Espeon Ex/Gardivor
This match was against the undefeated 11-14 player. THis was a great match.

He went first, placed an evee on the bench and a ralts active. He attached psychic energy and evolved into Espeon EX. I attach energy to slugma put ralts to sleep. My opponent draw, then uses rare candy on ralts on the bench into Gardivor and attached another energy to Umbreon Ex. I draw, evolve into Magcargo, attach citrus berry and an energy and ATM rock to Magcargo. By this time, I had evolved Torchic into Combusken with D. Rainbow and had a slugma and Evee on the bench. I Rocket Admin his hand and then I ATM rock his rare candied Gardivor. He uses another rare candy on benched ralts into Gardivor. He attaches an energy to Espeon Ex. I build up Combusken into Blaziken. I knock out Ralts and draw a prize. He brings up Espeon Ex. We start trading damage. He removes his with Gardivor and me with citrus berry.

Anyway the game basically was won when my opponent failed several burn flips on his Espeon Ex. This game me the prize count. Then my opponent brings up a Gyrados Ex. I rocket Admined him like three more times to disrupt his hand. He never gets the fifth energy on Gardy EX to do 100 a turn to wipe out my fire pokemon. He flips four tails on Garys first attack and does no damage. Eventually time is called and I am ahead on prizes.

4-0

Didn't play the final match because my opponent decided to give me the title and medal if he got the other 1st and 2nd place prizes.....

I also helped judge the 10 under finals since the PTOs son was in the finals....

Hello all...

I apolgize for breaking the following rule from POP organized play:

"Colluding with another player to fix the outcome of a game, match, or event"

My behavior during the finals of the Burnaby City Championships is totally unacceptable to say the least.

I wish to APOLOGIZE to everyone I APOLGIZE to PUI and their organized play staff and to all other PTOs and most importantly other players.

I should have known better about the rules regarding collusion. There is no excuse for not knowing about this rule.

I will immediately forfeit the medal to PUI and make any restitution as deemed by PUI. I am disqualified from this event.

PUI has been notified and will investigate this incident.

Again I am very sorry.

Inconceivable.

I hope things get put to right by Nintendo; I am sure they will.

Terry has been one of the hardest working PTO's.

To say this comes as a surprise is the understatement of the decade.

I hope we can all learn from the mistake and come to forgive Terry in time.

At least this did not happen at the Provincials or regionals, which would have been even worse, bad enough as it is.

I hope the players from the event are not dismayed and will be back for the next event.

Keep up the great work out there Steve.

You can concede a game to your opponent alright, but I don't think it's decent to do so by 'bribing' your opponent with packs :/ Why would you want just the medal anyway, the bag and boosters are way cooler!

Anyhow, lovely detailed report, GJ!
