Just a little something I've been working on, actually runs pretty well.

Pokemon-

4x Shuppet (CG)
3x Banette EX
1x Banette (CG)
3x Slugma (DX)
2x Magcargo (DX)
1x Magcargo (UF) [anti dustox/shiftry/steelix/etc]
4x Mawile (CG)
2x Sableye (CG)

Trainers-

3x Transceiver
2x Mentor
2x Adventurer
2x Scientist
1x Farmer
1x (holon) Lass
2x PETM
2x TVR
4x ER2
3x Crystal Beach
1x Battle Frontier
1x Space Center
2x Switch

Energy-

4x Rainbow
2x Cyclone
8x Psychic

I've been experimenting with a lot of Banette EX decks, and this has to be one of my favorites. Early game, Magcargo+Sableye can get supporters in the discard pile, getting shadow chant's damage up to 90 extremely fast. Magcargo UF is very useful with a rainbow energy attached to it, as many MANY Pokemon are weak to one of the types (if not both). Smokescreen is an all-purpose attack, and with extra ball, magcargo OHKOS dustox ex, shiftry ex, Umbreon ex, Steelix ex, and many others.

Any comments or suggestions would definitely help.

I love Banette EX too :p

I like the idea, but maybe it's just the decks I've been running up against (including RaiEggs), having a lot of powers out isn't working that well. But yeah, Magcargo seems like a good idea in this, and Sablyeye is just a plain staple in this IMHO. Mawile I don't really like IMHO. I find a Shuppet start to be the best start IMHO. A Sableye start isn't bad either against some decks (no CFF!).

Personally, I don't see a real reason for TVR. Adventurer gets you the same thing (other than draw then discard), and you can search for it with Transciever. I'm actually running straight Windstorm in mine instead of a stadium but Crystal Beach does look like a good idea. Also run Multi. It works so well. Multi+Rainbow pays for stuff, Multi+Psychic pays for stuff, even Multi+Rainbow+Psychic can pay for stuff. It might be hard for your magcargo to attack though.

I do so like Crystal Beach. Sableye can be reasonable as a starter in some circumstances. Playing first against Luvdisc, Plusle, Tauros, Mawile will shut them down, but you would be improving your position much either. Playing second isn't nearly as good, particularly against Plusle and Tauros--they will be relatively happy with their two basics. Sableye won't do anything against Jirachi (besides the 10HP). So, as a starter, Sableye is questionable.

Mawile can be a powerful force in some decks. I'd usually like to see it paired with Scott, though, for pulling Stadia. No Admin makes Mawile and Scott a nice tandem.

I have been listening to all of your advice, and been trying different lists accordingly.

It turns out that the deck runs much smoother without mawile, surprisingly.
