Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

CaC Survivor: Team Dorapion

Growth rain is broken on a basic. 2 Energy attachments? It's even free cost!

Old-Forest Power is also too good. Banishing half of your opponent's Energy? How about "For each heads, search the Lost Zone for 1 of your cards and put it in your hand".

Hey Xuii check it out.

Celebi DAYWALKER :grass: Lv. 47 HP 90

Celebi is drifting through a foggy forest looking nervously around. And beams of sunlight cutting through the fog.

PokePower: Type Shift
One during your turn (before you attack) if Celebi is your Active Pokemon you may use this power.
Celebi is a [P] type until the end of you opponents next turn.

[.] Growth Rain 10
You may attach 1 [G] Energy and 1 [P] Energy to one of your Pokemon (including Celebi).

[G][P][C] Old-Forest Power 50
Flip a coin for each each Energy attached to the Defending Pokemon, for each heads remove 1 Energy, and put it into the Lost Zone.

W: :fire: +20
R:
RC: :colorless

yea final it is made i like it pretty good but i world make it attach 1:psychic: or 1:grass: to on of your pokemon

HP should be 60 or 70 with only [C] Retreat Cost.

Stadium effect reworded:
Once during each player's turn, the player may flip two coins. Before flipping coins, that player may send up to two cards from his or her hand to the Lost Zone. If that player does, treat one coin as heads for each card the player sent to the Lost Zone in this way. If both coins are heads, that player searches the Lost Zone for one of his or her cards, shows it to the opponent, and puts it in his or her hand.

Type Shift reworded:
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may use this power. Celebi Daywalker's type is [P] until the end of your turn.

Growth Rain reworded, made unbroken:
You may attach 1 [G] Energy card or 1 [P] Energy card from your hand to 1 of your Pokémon.

Old-Forest Power reworded, made unbroken:
Flip a coin for each each Energy attached to the Defending Pokémon. Search the Lost Zone for 1 Energy card and put it in your hand.

Daycutter, reworded:
If the Defending Pokémon is a Daywalker Pokémon, this attack does 40 damage plus 20 more damage.

Lost Wind, reworded:
If the Defending Pokémon isn't Knocked Out by damage from this attack, your opponent sends the top card of his or her deck to the Lost Zone.

Thanks for the help in wording Twilight Rift, Meditite Rox. That looks much better. I updated the work-in=progress post with the changes made so far.

Also, I agree with the comments made so far that [L] isn't a normal resistance for Grass types. Water or Psychic would be more appropriate for Shiftry. Particularly since TCG Resistances tend to follow the type that the video game pokemon is 'most' resistant to. And Shiftry is most Resistant to psychic, in the video game (it is immune to psychic attacks.)

I find that, how understandable it is, too be a tad wrong. Metal types are imune to poison, yet only EXs had Grass resistance (The Poison cards back in the day were Grass types). And in my opinion, if a Pokemon is immune to a type in game, a higher Resistance should reflect that IMHO. Not a single card has 30 Resistance anymore (Please proof me wrong) in the DP format.

Well, afstandopleren, it is up to you to decide whether you want to alter your work. I'm not about to just change it myself. But, try to remember that we are supposed to be working as a team here. And, in this case, nearly half of the team (3/7) has recommended that you make the alteration. Added to that, you're right. There isn't a single Pokemon in the current meatagame with a -30 Resistance. So, one wonders why you're making a Pokemon with that. I'll leave it to you, though.

In the meantime...is the current work-in-progress post (#220) ready to become the "Final Product" post?

IDK. But we need to finish soon. I was thinking maybe should Time Gathering be a coin flip for a "Zoned" card.
Liike this:
[G][P][C] Time Gathering 50+
Flip a coin. I f heads search the Lost Zone for any one of your cards. Show it to you opponenet and put it into your hand.
If tails this attack does 50 damage plus 10 damage.

I think Time Gathering is fine as-is. It isn't like Celeby sends cards to the Lost Zone on its own, and the damage Time Gathering does is significantly less than other 3-energy attacks as a balance.

I think that, other than any last-minute tweaks that people may want, we can turn the work in now. I intend to do so within the next hour, as long as noone objects.

Sorry guys, I've been really busy with getting stuff ready for Regs. I promise I will contribute to the next challenge more.

Here is your next challenge. It is a long one, so I'm giving you an extra day to make it (aren't I nice ^_^)

Your tribe must design a card set that is at least 68 cards. The challenge will be due Friday, as usual.

Ok, y'all...we have a lot of work to get done. 68 cards divided amongst the 7 of us is 9 cards each with 5 of us doing 10 cards. Since it is 'at least' 68 cards, it's probably safest to just have each of us create 10 cards. I'm not actually familiar enough with set-building dynamics to know how many of these should be rares, how many should be uncommons, how many should be trainers, etc. So, any ideas there would be helpful, at least for organizing. I'd suggest we use our point-bonus reward here...except we don't actually know how significant these bonuses are...

Also, if you are unable to do this much work over this little amount of time, please let us know so we can get volunteers to take up the slack.

I'm gonna go ahead and take initiative on the setlist.

Looks like a good setlist base, NidoPrince. Just want to remind you of a few points. First, don't forget to add the cards we already created to the set. Bippa did indicate that he meant for those to be part of it, and I noticed that several of the ones we did create aren't there. Second, we probably don't need every Pokemon to be a NightWalker or Daywalker. Not every PL Pokemon is SP, nor were all the Delta Series Pokemon Delta Species. Third, since we have Typhlosian, we should probably use Meganium and Feraligatr, too. Fourth, which Pokemon will have Level Xs, if any?

I'll volunteer to build Growlithe, Arcanine, Sunkern (we already have Sunflora), Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Ledian, and Ledyba. That runs to 8, which should be enough for me (for now.)

Let me know when you have set numbers to go with it.
