Call or Special Metal in Dialga G

4 Special Metal. Call would be nice, but you should only run 10-11 energies and you can't afford any more non-searchable ones and the special metal is more important. I can't believe a deck that runs 8/11 special energies will have any kind of consistency.
 
If this is a straight Tank Dialga deck then you can easily run 4 Sp. Metal and 4 Call along with 2 Basic Metal and a Psychic if you tech Toxicroak.

Conductive Quarry is nice in this deck.
 
Both. It's nice to be able to recover from bad starts easily, and even better when you can T2 Second Strike without even starting with Dialga.
 
As was said, if it is straight Dialga G Tank, then 4 Sp Metal, 4 Call, 2-3 Metal (depending if you tech something)
 
Honestly, from testing this deck extensively, all it needs is 3 Call. 4 Special Metal is very nice in here though. I suggest running a Conductive Quarry in here as well, if you max out on Special Metal. If you wanted, you could do 3 Special Metal/3 Basic Metal if you're scared of both of your Basic Metal being prized.

QFT. Call gives access to so much more consistency than a deck without them, and the Sp. Metals allow for walling low output decks like Gengar or Kingdra.
 
4 Call is more consistent than 3 Call, and all you have colorless attack costs.

You need 4 because you need to always be as consistent as possible. If you CAN run 4 call, you ought to- otherwise you just draw/pass t1 every game.
