Pretty much. Most phone pictures are actually not that high in quality but is often acceptable for normal public use. Professional photographers still use cameras, in fact they still use very expensive cameras.
I use my camera, rarely use my cell phone camera. My camera is easier to download things, rather than my phone, and I have better quality. Bring my camera to every event.
I worked in retail several months back, and people were still buying up standalone digital cameras. People of all ages might I add, so the casual market hasn't quite completely fizzled out.
Just another example of people giving up quality for instant gratification. Nothing can replace the quality photography captured on film. No matter how many pixels per inch, a digital photo will always be pixelated. Unless of course someone develops a single pixel digital camera...
