Do u guys think it is a good idea to run 2-3 candies in gyarados if the build alread runs 2 BTS. I want to add in a awesome stage 2 1-0-1 line. I feel the candies will speed up gyara and get the tech out. Discuss.
 
Gyarados should always run 4 BTS.

BTS can be played with Spiritomb active, candy cannot.
 
It was cool when Flygon was popular (not even then really), but now it does not have as many benefits and takes up too much room.
 
Well, BTS is played, but i was just wondering if candy could be helpful for an extra speed boost. I also need it to evolve my tech.

ehh, never mind, im having consistency issues. I was thinking about running a 1-0-1 Dusknoir DP in gyara along with 3 rare candy. I find that it makes the deck clunky. Thanks for the advice.
 
Props for actually doing the real testing and and knowing when it doesn't work, makes me feel like there's hope for the gym. :thumb:
 
I was thinking your were saying that you would tech a 1-0-1 alakazam MT so you could discard and block powers...
 
Yeah, doesn't seem like Rare Candies are worth it.
Better to stick with BTS and be aggressive with getting out the Gyarados.
Forget about the techs. lol
 
I agree with Matt.

But, I'll side with Sam too, props to you for actually testing the deck and deciding your idea didn't work. :)
 
Thank you all for the advice. I was just thinking about using a tech that would be a surprise i guess. But it didnt work out lol. Better luck next time.
