its hard making new decks this format, you see all the time in deck help: Darkrai, or GG, or magmortar, nothing too original
the iron chef thing would be good, i love making random decks and its be kool.
come on iron chef!

Iron Chef was a contest on who can make a very creative deck and such.

Thanks for the information.

I have to agree with everyone else that having something like the Iron Chef again might be able to spark a little more creativity back in this format.

I think that the iron chef could be used to help pick out new cardiologist.

Well not just that, but, it could also open up the metagame. I think if you get some great players making some crazy weird decks, it may spark interests for some players to make decks like that causing a swift change of the metagame from Magmortar to something like Mr Mime:p(I can always hope)

Thing is, Iron Chef is great when OP is at low ebb. Right now everyone is concentrating on their states deck. Possibly not a good time for Iron Chef. The other thing is, the only thing that takes more work to do right than Cardiology is Chef Mastery (think 10-20 hours for a field of 64, per week, that's my guess). Ask Cyrus/Patriarch or HyperEevee for sure. Its a great idea that will come around again... but I'd look for it after worlds at soonest.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, that defeats the purpose of why I even want the Iron Chef. We should do the Iron Chef after Regionals...

Oh, AT least...Before Patriarch moved from Texas to attend College in South Texas, we used to have a few talks about th I.C.

Based on those talks, AT LEAST 20 hours...

Does it have to be Cyrus/Patriarch to start this up?

I am not discrediting him AT ALL but, there are some other Great Deckbuilders out there. Jimmy Ballard comes to mind....

I don't want to speak for the guy, but with a few kids, a business, and a wife, AND playtesting, I doubt Jimmy B will be able/want to run the Iron Chef competition. Besides, Rambo1000 is right- Bianchi>ALL

Honestly, very few people have 20 hours to spend on something like an internet competition. Especially when we are in the beginning of the main portion of competitive OP. States, then Regionals, then Nationals, and lots of testing all before it.

Iron Chef is a great competition when nothing else is going on. I know John is in college now, and right now is midterm time. Almost anyone in college is feeling the crunch. It's just kind of unrealistic to expect people to be able to run the competition and have time to playtest and do whatever else they want to do.

Summer break would probably be a good time to hope for its return.

Ya, I forgot about the whole card shop thing. I don't even know Bianchi so I wouldn't know.

Whats the point right now

Not much to day about the meta game, deck reviews can be summed up very easy.

Magmortar/Typhlosian good

Gardevoir/Gallade good,

and everything else not so good.
