if you were to make a haymaker deck which one of these cards will u choose

himonchan base set
electabuzz base
magmar fossil
mewtwo ex

and also i am talking about old rules which is wizards rules, dont talk about anything on nintendo rules here

plz state the reason why u choose that card

For me, I would go with Fossil Magmar. In the original version, it didnt have much of a stall (the only thing that could possibly stall is Electabuzz's Thundershock). With Fossil Magmar, it adds a lot of stalling potential to the original concept, making the deck itself a lot more effective in many ways.

Base Set Hitmonchan: Possible. Use Tyrogue to give it time to power-up (meaning evolve it from Tyrogue). Really though, you probably should just use Tyrogue for Fighting.

Base Set Electabuzz: You're using the old rules (which are TPC rules, just like the new :p ), so Rocket's Zapdos still get's Metal Energy's effect, so it would be better. 'Buzz isn't that bad though.

Fossil Magmar: Smog rests on the Defending Pokemon, and the old rules would allow Unlimited retreat, right? So I just retreat to get out of it. Even if I am mistaken, a GoW would then solve the problem.

Mewtwo ex: Use this. With Focus band, Pokemon Center, and Pokemon Nurse, they will rarely KO it. If you team it with Slowking, they won't even be able to slow it with Energy Removals. Also, its energy requirments are relatively low (since it can such Energy out of the discard), so you can probably use some other ones as well.

If your going to use base set hitmonchan, atleast use best of game hitmonchan that has 10 more hp.

I like MewTwo Ex a lot but, having won a great many games before my opponent even drew a card with the old-school haymaker, I think I'd still go with himonchan base set, electabuzz base, scyther jungle set, and through in a few fossil Ditto in case they do get an evolvement going.

Lots of pluss power, gust of wind, computer search, oak, bill, you know, everything you need to get that first turn KO when they only draw one pokemon...ah, the good old days :)
