Gotta say, it's not actually a misprint yet. Unless they correct it, it's an error, but not a misprint since there's nothing to compare it to being "wrong" vs.

There's the version that it's a reprint of. We can compare it to that. Also, it's being errata'd.

I know, but "technically" it's not misprinted because there is no correct version.
Somebody just screwed up, but Errata doesn't matter collectibility wise unless they print a correct version.

I have no idea how you are coming up with your definition of "misprint".
The card template called for Fire Energy.
They printed it as Fighting Energy.
How is that not a misprint?
And, even by your own definition, are you not counting the Japanese version?

seems really fishy to me that the pokemon card that generally is the most expensive (charizard) has a misprint on the shiny...

Well they gave some of the McDonalds Pidove a Fire resistance instead of Fighting so I guess it's eather feast or famine. :tongue:

Just to say, until we know when and if the card is corrected, no-one is going to be able to accurately predicate the future price of this card.

Since the Japanese text will not occupy the exact same space as the English text, cards would need to be recreated on blank bases. Japanese cards will also sometimes have different formatting to ours, including different coloured borders and such.
Stuff like the energy symbols would just be copied over, but this is a simple mistake of someone pressing F instead of R. And let's face it, on that red background the error doesn't stand out like it would if they put a Water or Grass symbol.

They're not taking Wite-Out to a Japanese card and writing in the English text with a Sharpie.
