Not only can you cancel but that can be considered backing out of a trade and a negative ref could be given.

But, I think it would be pretty clear that they did not intend to send anything if you didn't receive after a month. How long should you wait to back out if you have received nothing then? A month and a half? Two months? I am gald that you can leave a bad ref before then, or more people would get ripped off. You should be able to back out after a month of not receiving anything, IMO.

If you didn't receive in a timely manner, you should contact the person. You know use a little common sense and ask what is up. May be they sent but it got lost. Without communicating with the other person, you'll never know what is up.
What if they don't respond? Again common sense comes into play.

True, but what if someone who you dealt with, from 3 weeks ago, says they sent out, and you haven't received?
You PM asking for more information about when they shipped out and such, but no such replies, but they reply about other things. I'm not saying this trader is bad, however....

However they bought from me in a timely manner, I usually stand behind my refs 100%, the only time I haven't is with tee79 (tee89? idr), even though at the time they were nice, now they aren't as nice.

Hiddenleafpokemon is a trusted trader however he has still not left me a ref. It has been about a month and 2 weeks. I have sent him multiple PM's for him to leave me a ref. I left him a positive refs. It has been about a month and 2 weeks. What should I do? And should I change the ref I gave to him?
There is no rule that you have to leave a ref. And no you can not change the ref you gave him.

If he didn't then not everyone does do they? I know plenty do not leave refs. It is not required.

I personally have no qualms about such an issue.
I deal on many sites now, or atleast am trying to, and all the sites are the same...
You have the few people who have tons of money/cards and can get what they want
You have the few people who have little and have to "pinch pennies" per-say to get what they need
You have the few people who are secretive and when they do make an interaction for a card or whatever they don't leave references.
I don't know why someone wouldn't leave a reference, it makes no sense, however at the same time, it makes perfect sense... I know I regret some positive ratings I've given people in the past as now they have turned sour or "spoiled" ;__; Oh well... I think it is like that youtube scam... put a bunch of people with good feedback on a list and say, "hey I'm trusted" so maybe some people just don't give out refs for that reason. Who knows.
